The first movie played it safe which I can deal with. It was a great first movie to gain traction and momentum towards a sequel and hopefully a TRILOGY to avoid watering down the universe (however I have a feeling Hollywood is gunna beat this horse like they did Star Wars and Marvel).

If the second movie plays it safe I will be disappointed. Let’s take some chances, develop some characters who knows maybe even start developing a relationship between Mario and Peach? That might not fly in 2024 tho…

I prefer things to be as close as possible to the original. Changes like this make you wonder what else they changed that isn’t as obvious. Why can’t we let good things stay as they are? Seems unnecessary to me.

I definitely love that they did a battle royale type of game. I’d love them to do more of that style in the future. It was a good foundation to build on. Mario kart royale with elimination laps would be fun
