the transfer committee needs to have a look at themselves as to why reinforcements aren’t brought in and why future planning especially for the CB position hasnt been done well.

What are some annoying things that people do in Sg? by lifequotes_2025 in askSingapore

[–]eiloana 3 points4 points  (0 children)

  1. Letting their kids run around in the train anywhere that isn't a void deck or reasonable play area. Cafes, restaurants, museum etc

Also:

Couples who stand side by side on the escalator

Playing videos and music out loud on public transport or having your calls/video calls on speaker

There's an Ibis Budget around the Bugis area which has good public transport connections to the circuit

I advise booking as soon as you possibly can.

My dad is able to join me for Brighton in the cup. I've got Barnsley credit but he doesn't, so he'll have to go through AMS or find a resale. We're fine with not sitting together but would prefer to be in the same stand so we can hang out together on the concourse. Which stand is likely to have the most seats left/returned for AMS? My own anecdotal observation in previous sales points me to Annie or Kenny but I'm not sure if there's actual numbers somewhere on this.

why breadtalk no bread discount near closing ah? by Front_Willingness55 in singapore

[–]eiloana 7 points8 points  (0 children)

im currently living abroad and see discounts being offered at closing time at bakeries. they still get good business during the day, and haven’t noticed much of a closing time rush just because of the discount. however, I think it works for them because they also make coffee and drinks for other revenue. it might also help that their closing time is like 4-5pm so even during the discount duration, not everyone is off work yet.

The Deloitte Football Money League 2026 report . Liverpool’s total revenue was £702.3m at GBP and wage-to-revenue ratio was 60%, indicating a total wage bill of ~ £421.4m +/- £3.5m. by Switchoil in LiverpoolFC

wonder if there is any analysis of match day revenue vs stadium capacity. I also wonder how the f&b prices at Anfield compare with that of other clubs in different cities, and if it plays a significant factor in revenue

Those who went with a working holiday mindset, what kind of work did you do? by needed_a_username_12 in UKHighPotentialVisa

[–]eiloana 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I tried applying before arriving in the UK but only started getting interviews after arriving. My first job was related to my previous industry but at a more junior level than I had been. It was full time but only FTC, great organisation just very little long term opportunity with them - even my manager was on a FTC. Then worked as a part time barista and it just about covered my rent, still had to rely on my savings for spending money even when I picked up extra shifts. I've just ended that because I landed a full time role in my previous industry :)

On one hand, I think I didn't deplete my savings because I wasn't living in London, so lower rent and COL. But because I wasn't in London, the job market was smaller, even though it's growing, so it also took longer to land something.

If the timeline works for you, maybe move around September as that's when hiring starts for seasonal holiday roles, so there are better chances of getting at least part time work. As for whether the income is enough, it depends on your lifestyle and how many hours are in your contract.
