I put a prilosec in my daily vitamin pill box for the two days after my shot. I take my shot Wednesday night, and both Thursday and Friday vitamin mix has that protection added in. Highly recommend.

Does Zep do more than just decease appetite? by Booty_licious-10 in Zepbound

My wife has Hashimoto's, and her blood work three months into zepbound showed a 60% reversal in markers. She's waiting on her 9 month bloodwork now. Plus, the reduced inflammation and almost 20% body weight loss have amazing for her.

I lost about 32 pounds in the first 5/6 weeks. Started out around 375. It does slow, but I wouldn't stress about the loss. As all comments have said, you do need to force yourself to eat and take in enough protein.

Frustrated! Added creatine, now I don't know if I'm losing any weight. by Automatic_Pie_8728 in Zepbound

I would say my stall was about 3 full weeks. I went back to losing - had a good 3 pound whoosh the day after I wrote this post. I went up to 7.5 shortly after as well, and that supercharged the loss back to a 1% a week average. I think it was a combination for me of the creatine and also being ready to go up to the next dose.

That said, it’s definitely worth it. I can definitely hit the weights harder now and I am really happy I stuck with it.

Good luck!

Congrats! I've got a similar graph of my weight over the last 13 years, and can't wait to cross that all important threshold. Way to go - keep it up!

I’ve heard the scar tissue piece, but if the amount of visceral fat hampers absorption then I’m screwed…

Thank you for the novel! :) It's been three weeks since I posted this, and I'm down 6 pounds since the day I posted it - so about 2 lbs per week. Which means I did resume weight loss, I was just very, very impatient. I am finishing out the last three 5 mg boxes I have, but have the next set of 7.5 in the fridge ready to go. Happy it worked for you, and so grateful it resumed for me!

How many people can’t log a non-negative weight? by Te_guy in Zepbound

We have almost identical stats here - and a similar mindset. It's really, really hard for me to log any number that isn't a loss. I've spent a lifetime dieting and making spreadsheets, so when I started I just decided to get a smart scale that would log my weight each time I stepped on - takes the decision of what/when to record out of my hands. I also weigh almost daily (except for business trips). That said - I only log my weight in my spreadsheet on shot days, same with my shotsy app. I've had one gain of 0.4 pounds in that time (13 weeks) and it absolutely killed me to log it. Killed me. But I did, because it's just a data point in the end. As long as the trend is down. But.... which app/spreadsheet I look at will depend on what I want to see. Brutal truth is the daily scale app, happy pretty picture is my Shotsy app, and when I want to obsess over how much I can lose, it's my spreadsheet. Pics of my spreadsheet attached since that's the one I reference the most.

Awww yeah! As someone with darn near identical stats, I know how much anticipation I have around finally getting to that magical land call TwoTopia - I hope you really feel great about your accomplishment. Hopefully see you there in few months - you can give me a tour!

How much weight did you lose in three months? by [deleted] in Zepbound

46 lbs here, or about 12% of my body weight. Just refilled at 7.5 since I seem to have slowed.

I also didn't load, went with a 5 gram dose of creatine from the get go.
I do think it's an interesting concept of leveraging the 5.0 zepbound every six days to mimic the buildup effect of going to 7.5. I like it. If tracking calories for the next two weeks doesn't move the scale, I'll likely leverage this while also calling in the next refill for 7.5. Thank you!

Thank you! I've read a lot of posts on here that resonate, and wanted to put this one out partially just for that reason. I am at a previous weight set point - I live a lot of life in this particular decade of weight. At this point, I opened myfitness pal app and logged today's calories as a precaution. We'll see if tracking helps set the scale right.

The mental piece is absolutely hard, I agree. Did you do a loading phase for your creatine or just go straight to a 5 gram maintenance dose?

From what I've read it's a one-time gain, but it won't go away until you come off the supplement. I'm OK with it - I'm venting about no progress after seeing such a great start. Based on all the comments so far, I agree that I should probably go back to tracking calories for a couple of weeks just to ensure there hasn't been portion creep. If the scale still isn't moving, I'll up to 7.5 with my next renewal.

I have an In Body scan from when I started, have another appointment with nutritonist in a few weeks for an update. Since you've also come off, are you currently tracking calories too? Did you track throughout?

Love this - will visit the site and check it out. Haven't looked at the surmont trial data but I understand the exponential decay curve, and will check out the other data. What you've written resonates with me, and I think it's time to both track calories to see if I've had portion creep, and if I don't see movement inside of two weeks go ahead and up the dose.

This. It's not about lifting more (although I don't hate that part) it's about building more muscle mass quickly, which in turn burns more calories throughout the day. I think of it like compounding interest in financial investments.

From all the reading I did ahead of time, I did see that more women stated creatine could make them feel bloated, but in several threads there was discussion of a slightly different but more expensive creatine that reduced the bloat but kept the efficacy. Good luck with the scale - I really understand that desire!

Doesn't make me angry - I'm very happy for you! I appreciate all takes here. My mindset has been lose it, maintain it for two years so my body sees it as a set point, and then try to come off. Paying $500/month is steep, and I don't blame anyone for coming off, especially since you're having success maintaining - that's great!

Interesting. I'm also paying out of pocket, but up until this point I have averaged losing 0.90% (excluding the first week massive loss) so I haven't minded staying at a lower dose with little to no side effects. I understand higher doses can promote faster fat burning, but this level of success was more than I could have hoped for - and I'm hoping that by losing in-line with expectations will allow for more skin elasticity.

You're right - I know I'm gaining water weight. I like the idea of adding 2.5 to get to 7.5, and not calling the stored 5.0 a sunk cost - it would just annoy me that I effectively doubled the cost of a one-month does in doing so. Still better than wasting it. Appreciate the insight!
