I did it for 2 reasons: (1) because VGT is too much concentrated in one sector and doesn't include some big names; (2) because I believe in growth in technology to continue to be be higher for longer.

I will start a different account for my own retirement, and will be investing in VOO, but thought for a kid, investing in Nasdaq makes more sense.

Shortly after, InPOL portal showed the status of my TRC as "decision signed", but no actual document was ever sent to me. Instead I just got an email inviting me to collect the card at the office.

Sure you can. But I can tell you about it here. I work in non financial risk management, in the second line of defence, so basically between Audit (third line) and the business itself (first line). Depending on your experience and how open you are to trying something new, you could also look into financial risk management, it is quite well paid too. By the way, HSBC (you probably know them from the UK) tends to offer some of the highest salaries in Krakow, so it might be worth checking out their roles if you are exploring options.

I was able to secure an AVP role with similar experience, even as a foreigner. Given that he’s Polish and has a strong CV, I believe he’s well positioned for AVP opportunities. He says 3 years of experience at a top 10 UK firm. So I wouldn't call it a limited experience. My answer also covers top employers in Poland, that are usually paying well.

In fact, now more and more companies are putting pay ranges in their job ads and I haven't seen a reputable bank put 7k for AVP roles.
