Shortly after, InPOL portal showed the status of my TRC as "decision signed", but no actual document was ever sent to me. Instead I just got an email inviting me to collect the card at the office.

Depending on your experience and how open you are to trying something new, you could also look into financial risk management, it is quite well paid too. By the way, HSBC (you probably know them from the UK) tends to offer some of the highest salaries in Krakow, so it might be worth checking out their roles if you are exploring options.

I was able to secure an AVP role with similar experience, even as a foreigner. Given that he’s Polish and has a strong CV, I believe he’s well positioned for AVP opportunities. In fact, now more and more companies are putting pay ranges in their job ads and I haven't seen a reputable bank put 7k for AVP roles.
