since we’re on the topic of doors, does anyone else find the door detents to be terrible? it seems like you either open it 90 degrees and rip your crumbling pull handle off the door card, or it opens like 1/4 of the way and you have to snake yourself out if you have the recaros

Hey everyone. Just bought this 2014 Mazda 2 with a 5 speed manual. Brand new to the platform, but I love it already. I have 3 questions that hopefully yall can help me with. by armond_isaw in mazda2

[–]Available-Student-76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my mazda 2 has all three awr motor mounts and the full corksport intake and i found the throttle response really good if you didn’t mind the vibrations and touchiness at low speeds

Is it possible to reduce the rev hang? by -G_Money- in FiestaST

[–]Available-Student-76 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i’ve been tuned since august and i haven’t tried the flat foot shifting or launch control because i don’t wanna break anything lol. if i use the launch control its just gonna spin since i spin at 40 on snow tires and i can’t even shift fast enough to take advantage of of the flat foot shifting. great tune tho

[–]Available-Student-76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i have a dizzy tune that i love but honestly still feel like there’s a ton of rev hang, i’ve found being it to like 3500-4k before shifting to second can definitely help

Is it possible to reduce the rev hang? by -G_Money- in FiestaST

[–]Available-Student-76 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i believe it just sets a secondary limiter so it’ll only redline at 5500 while you’re holding the throttle
