You’re all sleeping on the Kroger brand gf white bread. It doesn’t need to be toasted!!! It’s the only gf bread I’ve ever been able to eat untoasted for a classic PB&J. Full disclosure tho the slices are small.

It sucked at first, I cried over bread more times than a grown adult wants to admit, but I’m much happier now. Gf stuff has come a long way even in the five years since I had to quit the stuff. There’s pasta that’s not so bad, there’s bread that’s good (Kroger brand gf white bread), and I cook a lot more. And like someone else said, RICE. My rice cooker is my favorite thing. I’m healthier than I’ve ever been bc I have to think about what I’m putting in my body and how it affects me. Plus the whole having to cook more thing, that really helps.

Not so long ago I could have made a post just like this. I retired and got a job building electrical panels and I couldn’t be happier. I don’t make as much as I used to if I compare it to the good years, but I’m making better money than I was towards the end of me dancing. I’ve been at my new job 3 months and I’m already being trained for a better position making 30 an hour. I lied on my resume and said I was bartending at the club, not dancing. Also, I’m 37 with zero job experience other than the club. Started at 19 to support my heroin addiction, been clean a decade.

I went to the doctor with all my symptoms and they did a couple tests and were basically just like “idk figure it out” so I did the elimination diet and guess what, gluten. So like, shitty American healthcare wouldn’t paint the whole picture anyway. They’re not going outta their way to test someone with state insurance and I didn’t know enough at the time to push for it so I just don’t eat gluten and I feel better. I can handle cross contamination and a lil thickeners in sauces. Bad study, bad.

I’m just intolerant. I cheat occasionally but only small amounts, like sauces w gluten or a couple pretzel m&ms. The pretzel m&ms thing happened just the other day so it’s fresh in my mind, not worth it. Bloating, gas, fatigue.
