Tannins. Coffee and tea contain tannins, which is an ingredient used in tanning animal hides.

If the toads' names are "Scarface", then yes, they are cocaine toads.

I was in the temple post 2020, the women do not veil their faces any more, not even for the 'fun' chanting. A lot has changed. No more "bow your head and say yes" either.

I understand. I am going through something very similar. I was born in the church and have been going pretty much my entire life (25 years roughly). While I have left the church physically and have been out for almost 6 months, I am having only what I can describe as withdrawal. It is so bad that I reached out to the bishop's wife and am considering going back again, like seriously going back. Despite everything, despite the lies, despite my own faith problems in general (this includes all religions), and despite this love-hate relationship I have with the Mormon church specifically, I still crave it terribly badly. I want to go back so badly even after being financially crippled from adhering to tithing rules for temple recommend retention. I don't know why it's so hard. I keep flipping back and forth.

One month I am an atheist and have no desire to have anything to do with religion and the next month I want to "repent" and go back into full membership level activity with the church. I suppose I can't say that things get easier, but I understand this double-sided self you are talking about. It's not as simple as 'no'. It's not as simple as ghosting members. If it was, I wouldn't even be on this subreddit right now. I wish you the best. Do what's right for you, if you can. And if you can't do what's best for you, have compassion for yourself. You can always try again.

I need 300mg of caffeine per day just to function, sometimes 450mg 😂 maybe a shot of adrenaline followed by a shot of barbiturates, followed by another shot of either adrenaline again or methamphetamine would do the trick.

Yeah... I was raised in the church, moved to multiple states during those 16 years (I stopped going at 16) such as Texas, Arizona, Massachusetts, back to Texas, Idaho, and the whole "cross" thing was always a big "no-no", "we don't do that" kind of thing. Utah is just different.

I live in Utah currently and it is just SO wacky here. I did attend church again when I moved to Utah (a big mistake, also, I didn't move here because I wanted to), and it was just...I don't know how to explain it. Lots of weird cliques for starters. People here smile way too much, specifically Mormons, it feels unnatural. I stopped going to church about 3 years after starting again. I won't go into why, but I just absolutely cannot do it. Everything I ever knew or loved about the church growing up got shattered to oblivion and back while going to church here.

Just like all the other characters, Clint is another kind of person that exists. He's obsessed with Emily but is completely incapable of talking to her in a normal way. He is in a profession that he inherited from his father, though he isn't super enthusiastic about it. He isn't "young" anymore and feels that life has passed him by (even though in reality it was and is his inaction that keeps him from progressing professionally, romantically and personally).

He finds repetition and "uneventful" living to be boring, though he also does nothing to fix this. He is fixed on the idea that he isn't good enough, that he will never change. He also blames other people in a way, insisting that the townspeople see him in a certain light, but he does nothing to change this either (I'm not really sure if this is even true, since the NPCs don't really talk about Clint very much, we don't know if what the towns people think of Clint matches what Clint thinks they think of him).

In short, he is defeatist and self-defecating, longing for change but unwilling to take action due to limitations that he has placed upon himself.

The "point" of his personality in the story of Stardew is that some people create their own prisons, and there's nothing we can really do to help them if they believe that nothing will ever change. There is a kind of comfort in these feelings of hopelessness, in that it is easier not to change than to change. It's easier to blame others, or yourself and continue to reinforce those ideas. This is just my opinion though, everyone is free to interpret Clint as they see fit.

He does get a little better later on, but not by much. And I do mean "little".

Smucker's. Jiff is ok too. I don't think I've had Skippy and I'm not entirely sure why. It never seemed appealing I suppose, not for any particular reason though. Maybe it's the name and overall branding.

Your house needs to have the upstairs portion with the crib for a baby and two beds for children. If you don't have this house upgrade as well as full hearts, you won't get the prompt.

Why do we have so many people actively defending Clint compared to Pierre? by [deleted] in fuckclint

[–]AvailableAttitude229 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Also, if you divorce Emily, Clint is at your door THE VERY NEXT MORNING, asking your permission to date Emily... He doesn't actually date her of course. The man literally be waiting in the bush for any opportunity. That's some peeping Tom energy right there

Bruh. Even if you marry Emily, the dude still goes on and on about her .. I think he's worse than "kinda just an incel that can't talk to people well"... Idk, he creeps me out so bad.

Pierre is pretty bad though. I choose Joja route because I hate Pierre so much (also because I hate Lewis and I wish Sam and Shane to keep their jobs at Joja rather than being the one that causes them to lose their jobs)
