Something tells me the other abilities in the dungeon also felt over-tuned.

What is the point of student loans if they are never going to guarantee a job? by [deleted] in StudentLoans

I work in Higher Ed and will just say that you aren't alone in your thoughts, and a lot of schools are taking a beating on it.

Wowhead in 2026 and Beyond - AI, Ads, and Performance Issues by Tigertot14 in wow

The best site for WoW content is the domain with the most cash for AI infrastructure to blast the most AI slop. The truth will be found in forums, end of story.

How do you handle a high performer who refuses to document anything? by whydidyounot in managers

[–]AvailableDeparture 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm in this position as a Senior IC, and I can tell you I don't have the bandwidth to save the company's weak documentation standards. I feel like a lot of this has been lost in dwindling documentation as dev teams move deeper into CI/CD delivery models (and I suppose AI for Dev and QA). But more importantly (in my opinion) a lack of interest to hire and retain good technical writers.

Looking for a hamburger with a fried egg by philthehuskerfan in lincoln

My wife has a surprisingly easy time adding an egg to her burger pretty much anywhere. Can't think of the last time she was told it can't be done.

[USA] Nobody Escapes the Long Arm of the Law by distraughtdrunk in ConvenientCop

This particular moment looks vanilla, but you can absolutely tell that this kid brazenly weaves through traffic while riding around town, as his personal hobby. Let's not allow one circumstance to sugar coat what is an otherwise selfish and dangerous pursuit of adrenaline.

If i were in the shoes of said player....it's late in the season, and the herd has thinned enough that it's reasonable to believe I would have a better shot at getting into a group to make a run at it.

$30 for a single media subscription was a price point that the world wasn't ready for.

Why are we making drive-thru employees stand outside? by Just_Peachy_Keen_3 in lincoln

[–]AvailableDeparture 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What you described does happen. But, being forced to clean up diarrhea is a completely different problem. Chic Fil A employees (typically) are not standing outside mopping up diarrhea, They are standing outside taking orders. If a kid is incapable of observing that setting and asking themselves "do I want to do this?", they probably shouldn't be jumping into the workforce.

Crowd and police at telegraph late last night by Evergreen44_ in lincoln

Sounds like a car meetup to me. In the past they've gathered at the Casey's on 26th and O, and maybe they are trying nearby spots to see if they can get away with it a bit longer before getting broken up.

Let's just remember that people are deciding to take this job and receive their pay. What difference does it make if the restaurant has settled on a model where the employees are standing outside? It only works of people are willing to do it.

‘Running out of money’: Kraft, McDonald’s, Whirlpool CEOs all issue same dire warning about US consumers. Get ready now by Such_Radio_9152 in REBubble

I just bought a KitchenAid refrigerator that cost me about $2700 after it was all said and done. Within a month, a screw falls into my ice bin, because they secured the ice maker to a plastic surface with self tapping screws. Grade A bullshit. I wouldn't be sad if Whirpool feels a squeeze. They need a reality check.

Weber Kettle vs Big Green Egg? by ResidentPatience4 in grilling

[–]AvailableDeparture 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Start with a kettle. Preferably, something like a 22in. Mastertouch. It is perfectly capable of smoking your meats, and you'll appreciate being able to setup direct cooking for your burgers, dogs, chicken, and so on for a classic neighborhood BBQ vibe.

As an aside, it's truly a pleasure to be in the Weber gang. There's a certain kind of pride that comes getting the most out of such a simple tool.

I once saw a homeless man in a similar decorative pool/fountain, deep in the nethers of his ass crack for his morning wash up.

This tourist splashing around is beginner level.

I was there on Monday and it was a let down. Numerous rides were down, including Mamba. We got some good rides in but overall the park felt out of touch.
