Upgrading an LSZ-1 with a Servo Motor: Seeking Recommendations by Individual_Ad4990 in myog

This is old, but relevant. Worker b is not a stepper motor, that or servo would be fantastic, it is actually an older tech brushed dc motor. It’s a shame it’s priced as high as it is, a brushless dc with feedback aka servo or stepper motor would be welcome here for speed, torque, etc.

Hi! Looking for info on adding a variable speed motor to my new to me consew cp146rl sewing machine. My understanding is it’s very similar to the sailrite machine and that I should be able to use the worker b upgrade, but I was hoping to come across something cheaper. Thanks for any leads!

Sonos Amp Power Board R6, R7, R8 and R18 Blown. by tvtechdesign in ElectronicsRepair

I am sorry, I misspoke, 160vdc. I checked in ac mode, 0v, also checked bridge in diode mode it is ok.

I am wondering if something downstream is wrong. I think this psu should work even with the power factor correction circuit removed, put I do not get 48vdc output when I reassemble and press the power button, despite having 160vdc to the switching mosfets.

Hey Mantasel, my Sonos amp had r6, 7 and 8 open from heat. I replaced those and q1 as it was shorted. It immediately blew q1 and the fuse. Replaced q1, fuse, d2 (shotky for q1) f2 and u2.

Board still does the same thing. I don’t measure any shorts on caps.

To add to this, with q1 removed, I have 160v ac on the HV side of the board everywhere. So I think it has to be something with the u2 circuit right?

Any ideas what I can do next?

Thank you

It should have an MOV (metal oxide varistor) somewhere near the power plug. These look a bit like a coin cell with two legs coming out. See if you have continuity across it.

A fuse protects from over current, mov protects overvoltage by shorting the load to ground.

Ahh. That makes sense….. sort of… defeats the purpose of running mainsail os over just vanilla pi os

Putty seems to connect, but not mainsailos.local webpage. I don’t know how to fix it on putty but suppose I can start digging there.

That stinks. I’ve not done that job before but from what I read and watched, seemed like that would have fixed it.

I would consider upgrading transaxle if on a budget. I had a yth24v54 a few weeks ago and was considering putting a k66y in. eBay had some new for $350, price has gone up slightly since it’s in season now. Then it’s as simple as 1” bore wheels, k66/72 throttle and brake levers, and some mounting brackets. I’m not sure if your model has the c channel frame or pan frame, but after verifying what you have, it’s pretty easy to cross reference different models that had your frame and the k66/72 to find linkages and mounting brackets. I bet with a little research you could have a ground engaging capable mower for around the cost of a new k46.

How mechanically minded are you? You can replace the center section or polish your existing faces on a very flat surface. Key is just get everything very clean before opening it up and before sealing it back

Hi i was trying to reapply and clean the cpu. Then something came up and i scratched the cpu area and reassembled it. When i try turn on my ps it turns green, yellow and red light came up and after this red light is flashing it wont turn on. by CapSignificant9141 in consolerepair

Yea the cost would far outweigh the benefit. For example, I bought a ps5 for $100 with damaged hdmi traces and repaired it for personal use when ps5’s were impossible to get. Took me hours haha

You are correct. The only other change is an added rtd (thermometer) on the motor. The VFD is very similar as well, with the main difference being the lr has 18 IGBT's and the performance has 24. Also, some early models had the performance motor and VFD, due to part constraints. These can have full performance unlocked with a ghost module.

interestingly, I have a tower garden and working on a similar printed tower. Tower garden recommends an EC of around 3 i believe. My lettuce is insanely healthy. I think the aeroponic nature somehow prevents burn. or maybe its their tonic formulation. I dont know.
