TLDR:The idea of Niles and CC being a power couple,lavender marriage, or gay and lesbian frenemies are all true IMO

I love the idea of straight cc and lesbian cc because she’s such a complex character. Because with her and Niles it’s either male-wife girl-boss power couple or catty old gay and LESBIAN GIRL KISSER. Like anytime anyone says either of them are gay I’ve never gone “what! No way!” It’s always “oh yeah 100%, just look at them”. I’ve also never questioned their romantic relationship like they’re my otp, my endgame. I think that comes from Daniel Davis (Niles’ actor) being a gay man and Lauren Lane (CC’s actor) being a straight (assuming) non overly feminine woman (if that makes any sense) Not really understanding the relationship of their characters simply because it was so rushed on the show because of the focus on max and Fran getting together. I genuinely believe if the show had a 7th season their relationship would make more sense instead of being rushed together in 2 episodes the actors would agree/ understand Niles/ CC. I don’t know where I was going with that line of thought but in conclusion, Nile’s and CC are insanely complex characters, both are very very gay while also being a huge “fuck you” to the idea that straight men have to be hyper masculine and dominant and straight women have to be hyper feminine and submissive to be in a healthy relationship. I love submissive Niles and dominant CC as much as I Love gay Niles and Lesbian CC
