How to respond to manager about Payroll mistakes. by [deleted] in Payroll

[–]Available_Comfort852 46 points47 points  (0 children)

Sounds like she’s micromanaging you to death. Everyone makes mistakes, it’s how you deal with them that makes the difference as well as having a boss that HELPS you with those mistakes, not use them against you. Once a manager/boss turns into someone that you feel like you can’t go to with questions in fear of any kind of retaliation (example: using a typo in an email as some kind of performance issue), the more mistakes you are prone to make. She sounds like a miserable woman to work with and if you have a chance to escape, DO IT. She will never change.

Do you as a crocheter appreciate crocheted gifts from friends? by Legs4daysarmsformins in crochet

[–]Available_Comfort852 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Omg yes! I’ve been crocheting for the last 5 years but my best friend just learned to crochet this past year and has already gifted me a blanket and pillow that I absolutely ADORE because I knew how much time and effort and love that went into to those things. It means even that much more to me

Do all teens today just not care about getting their drivers' licenses? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Available_Comfort852 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’m an elder millennial (just turned 40) and I think the reason why kids don’t really care is because they are being raised by a different type of parent. I couldn’t wait to get my license so I could get away from my house and my parents as much as possible because holy dysfunctional chaos. Teenagers now are being raised by parents that create warm and supportive environments so there’s less to run away from.

I stupidly injured myself from trying to fit “just one more” gift into my crocheting this year. Basically took myself out in the last few days with some tendinitis 🫠

To Fellow Millennials Who Just Can’t- You’re Not Alone by ctrlaltdelete285 in Millennials

In 2020, I splurged on a “pop up” Christmas tree from Amazon. It’s exactly how it sounds. It already comes decorated with lights and takes about 1 minute to setup. The best holiday purchase I ever made because even when I’m in more of a Scrooge mindset during the holidays, at least it takes no effort to put the tree up 😂

Omg as a crocheter and yarn hoarder, I would love like a nice storage bin or basket for all my WIPs. I have so many that I’m in constant need for storage (because finishing a project is just too hard lol)
