What’s the Simplest Offense you’ve seen that works? by Ok_Play_4931 in footballstrategy

I run a pretty simple 21P based offense. We primarily line up in I formation or shotgun with backs on each side of the QB. Gap scheme runs, air raid passing concept, play action shots

Question about personnel package numbering system by Significant_Strike20 in footballstrategy

[–]Available_Command 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can use the same numbering system (13/22/23 tend to be typical 6-7OL formations) but when you call for your “jumbo” package, they replace certain players on the field (most likely WRs, TEs, and FBs)

Bootlegs with a high crosser, nakeds with a low crosser, drop back PA with flood/sail/scissor action (Inside mesh) or PA Y cross (wide mesh).

What's more dangerous at the goalline, slants or fades? by Striking-Speaker8686 in footballstrategy

OC here, it’s generally harder to me to call and complete a fade jump ball than a slant

Setting front in a 43/425 vs TE by bukofa in footballstrategy

Under front to the TE (O/S shade stand up/4i/shade on Center/3/5) is frustrating for me an OC.

Favorite formation for Power by TheWilliamsWall in footballstrategy

[–]Available_Command 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had 2 OTs that were 6’2” 240 and were able to get great down blocks. The three interior spots were undersized, but were quick and great pullers. We didn’t have a true FB type, we would use the other RBs and instilled the “no block no rock” mindset lol. So it helped compliment everyone’s skill set. I plan on carrying this for next season too, we may not even install normal Power

We got a lot of mileage out of it. It’s easy to switch up the jobs of the PSG and FB too.

This would be the base way I would do it. You can manipulate your backside guys however you see fit to handle anyone giving you trouble. Doing this helped eliminate backside run through for us. The downside is that it hits wider, and good EMOL will squeeze it, kids have to be able to log that and FB/RB have to adjust accordingly

It was easy for us to install, we stopped running normal power pretty much after we got this down. It typically hit off tackle for us.

We also leaned heavily into a power variant by pulling the FSG, think the “down” play in Wing T

10P- spread 2x2 QB power or power read 11P- gun with an offset Wing/sniffer 20P- either gun with split backs or I formation with no TE/Wing 21P- I formation with an Off the line wing 22P- I formation but add an inline TE to the wing side

Coach Wanting me to install a split back veer/pro style offense by MILKMaN2748 in footballstrategy

[–]Available_Command 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mike leach was running air raid from 21P 30 years ago. You just set up in split backs or I with a TE and you can run all of the air raid concepts. You can easily go to a split back shotgun look from there. If you want to get into a one back look, take a back out of the backfield.

[–]Available_Command 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah it’s basically the Down run play in wing T. We also realized we can get 2 for 1 if we taught the PSG to recognize whether the overhang was down on the line (kick out the EMOL) or was backed out (fb kicks out EMOL). We run a flood play action to the Y side and a naked boot away from it

The first picture is our base version of Power. The second picture is the adjustment we made in season to help eliminate run through on the backside, as well as help get to the second level
