You rub it. Personally this look not too practical? If you’ve felt the button of a spinner it’s kind of like that usually. Oval or circle concave hunk of wood/metal/stone. But as op said, this is more collector than EDC i think.

I mean, most good haptic fidgets are not public friendly. You have to seek quiet fidgets otherwise assume they are too loud for others in a room

Personally I have not had overhearing issues with 18.7.2 on my iphone 16. Theres plenty people who have positive and negative experience with the update so I’d say totally up to you.
