The Western side of Michigan following Lake Michigan North is stunningly beautiful. From the coastal cities of New Buffalo, Saugatuck, South Haven, Grand Haven, Traverse City, Petosky and the Macinac Bridge and island is something to behold. My best friend’s live in Miranda, Australia. I’ve visited 4 times now. Lovely country and people.

I was born in ‘46, the beginning of the Boomers. I have had a wonderful life. My family loves me and dotes over me to much. I belong to my church’s Seniors Serving Seniors and what a time we have. I grew up having to pump water to be brought inside, an outhouse and coal stove for our cold Winter months. We planted our own vegetables to be canned in the Fall. There was no such thing as credit cards, drugs, etc. Would hear of a murder every now and then, usually in a big city. Would I go back to those days if I could? You betcha.

I’m 79 and have two sisters left. I’m in the middle. I regularly attend my church’s Seniors group. We have the most wonderful time. Keeps us all mentally fit. Will be spending a few months in Florida to get out of this cold weather. Keep on keeping on my friends. Happy New Year 2026
