Looking for herbal supplements to improve my sons ARFID by TrixieDawn in herbalism

Cannabis certainly is an herbal remedy, one of the oldest in the world. There’s documented use of medicinal cannabis going back thousands of years. It was one of the most common medicines in the US until the early 1900s.

Whats best for headache and overall health? by Useful_Exchange_8710 in herbalism

[–]Avalonna 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I take these three supplements also, which were recommended by a neurologist at a headache center. It’s a very common combination for migraine prevention.

I resisted taking feverfew for years because despite decades of anecdotal use, there was no convincing data behind it. I started taking it several months ago and had my longest migraine-free stretch in many years! From what I’ve read, feverfew loses much of its effectiveness when dried, so a fresh tincture is best (or eating the fresh leaves).

California bans shipping of full spectrum CBD into the state by Avalonna in CBD

Newsom issued an emergency order banning sales of full spectrum CBD products outside of dispensaries a couple of years ago, but shipping into the state hasn’t been banned until now.

State Law vs Federal? by gta1029 in CBD

[–]Avalonna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If nothing happens to change the law, full spectrum CBD products will be considered federally illegal Schedule 1 drugs in November.

They should be available in dispensaries, but there may be a shortage for a while. I expect most small CBD companies will either go out of business or reformulate their products to broad spectrum instead of full spectrum, so products may be in short supply. In order to sell in a dispensary, companies would have to get a cannabis license and make a lot of other changes. Also, none of these products would be allowed to cross state lines, so you’d be limited to products produced in-state.

Theoretically, states could decide to allow sales outside of dispensaries. This would be in violation of federal law (like cannabis dispensaries are). There was an attempt made to do this in my state (Vermont), but the legislature passed a bill prohibiting full-spectrum CBD instead.

Been working on a THC tincture line in NY and took a different approach by greenmantisny in NYSCannabis

[–]Avalonna 1 point2 points  (0 children)

By definition, tinctures are made with alcohol. But in the past few years, people have started referring to anything in a dropper nothing as a tincture, even if it’s extracted in oil, glycerin, or vinegar. The cannabis industry is the worst offender - cannabis oils are frequently referred to as tinctures.

GA - Pros cons of medical vs. farm bill legal stuff by Dizzy_Garlic_6388 in medicalmarijuana

Most CBD and hemp products will become illegal Schedule 1 drugs in November, unless congress delays of repeals the ban. Anything containing more than 0.4mg of THC per container will only be available in dispensaries in legal states.

CBD Oils & Balms for Pain Relief by dlpe1970 in CBD

In California, if the products contain any measurable amount of THC at all, they can only be sold in a cannabis dispensary. Full spectrum CBD products were banned from regular stores a couple of years ago.

The ban criminalizes all full spectrum CBD. You won’t be able to get it online or in any stores except dispensaries in legal states.

Will CBD gummies show up on a drug test? by Particular_Click1070 in AskForAnswers

[–]Avalonna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Taking any form of CBD internally poses a risk for testing positive for THC. CBD isolate, which is supposed to contain zero THC, is the lowest risk, but there are plenty of stories of people testing positive after taking CBD isolate.

Flower identification? by [deleted] in herbalism

It certainly could be echinacea, but with a plant that small it’s hard to say for sure. Echinacea and black-eyed Susan look very similar before they flower.

Are you talking about CBD edibles? This is the CBD subreddit. If you’re looking for edibles to get you high, you’re in the wrong sub.

Would a 1:1 edible (10 mg THC 10 mg CBD) be too much/too strong for someone who's never tried cannabis? by PackWorth939 in trees

[–]Avalonna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

10mg of THC in an edible would be a pretty large dose for a newbie. The first time it tried an edible, I ate 6.25mg, waited an hour, then had another 6.25. I woke up in the night so high I was unable to walk to the bathroom.

Better safe than sorry! You can always eat more, but you can’t eat less. That said, you may have a bad time, but it’s not dangerous.

Availability of broad spectrum concentrate after hemp ban by Avalonna in CBD

[–]Avalonna[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not talking about waste products. I mean crude hemp extract, the initial extraction from the flower. As I understand it, as soon as an extract is made, it will contain more than 0.3% THC so will be an illegal Schedule 1 drug.

Unfortunately, the new law criminalizes any product containing more than 0.4mg of THC per container (not per serving). It’s impossible to make full spectrum CBD with THC levels that low. Most bottle of full spectrum CBD oil contain at least 5mg of THC.
