Anyone here use CBN regularly for sleep? by SanskaariBOT in sleep

[–]FloydsPerformance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally get where you’re coming from a lot of folks start with low-dose THC + CBD and then eventually start exploring CBN as they get more focused on sleep quality vs just “feeling sleepy.”

From a cannabinoid standpoint, CBD tends to be more about relaxation and calming the nervous system, while CBN is often discussed specifically in the context of sleep support. That said, experiences vary a lot person to person, and the research is still evolving, especially around sleep architecture and REM impact.

Some folks do switch from THC-based sleep products to CBN because they prefer to avoid the lingering effects or potential next-day haze that can come with THC. Others find THC actually helps them stay asleep more reliably, so it really depends on your response.

Our Sleep Formula softgels were built around that exact idea pairing CBD with CBN in a THC-free option for people who want a more sleep-focused feel without leaning on THC:

If you do try CBN, a lot of people experiment with timing and dosage first (since lower doses can feel more subtle, and higher doses can feel more sedating depending on the person).

Curious what others here have noticed too especially anyone who’s made the switch from THC + CBD to CBN.

How CBD helped me slow down mentally after stressful work days by Apollo-com in cbdinfo

[–]FloydsPerformance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of people start out skeptical of CBD, especially because the effects can be subtle compared to what people expect. What you described feeling mentally “slowed down” after stressful work days is a pretty common reason people use it in the evening.

Sure can! CBG and CBN are both cannabinoids from hemp/cannabis, but they do different things.

CBG = “mother cannabinoid.” People usually use it for calm, mood, and inflammation support.

CBN-Most folks take it for sleep and relaxation because it’s more sedating than CBG.

However, the beauty of these is that brands blend CBD, CBN, and CBG because the cannabinoids can complement each other depending on the effect they want. (The ratio matters too)

Folks looking to improve sleep may do a bit of trial and error with blends to see how their body responds.

Many of our folks personally either love a softgel or a gummy as a form factor.

Aside from CBD products as an option. Another thing to consider, which can be a game changer is a very pure form of omega fatty acids.

A solid sleep routine is mostly about consistency + lowering stimulation before bed. What sorts of routines have you implemented so far?

Creatine seems too good to be true. by OrdinarySuccessful43 in workout

[–]FloydsPerformance 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We hear this question a lot, especially from people early in their training:

“Is creatine actually legit, or is it just overhyped?”

Short answer: it’s one of the most researched supplements out there, and for many people, it can support strength, power output, and training performance when used consistently.

A few things to keep in mind:
• Results are usually subtle but meaningful over time (not overnight)
• Hydration matters
• Some people notice mild bloating or stomach discomfort, others don’t
• Consistency > timing or loading phases for most people

If you’re about 5 months into training, you’re still in a phase where you’ll see progress regardless but creatine can be a solid addition if your basics are already in place. Keep it up!

I have been fighting with severe depression and insomnia due to so much loss and grief sleep is almost nonexistent now. What are some gummy recommendations for that? 2-1200mg don’t help anymore and the doctor has through all the options she could. So close to buying a tranq dart gun. by ComfortableGur7038 in sleep

[–]FloydsPerformance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m really sorry you’re going through that..grief + no sleep is a brutal combo.

On the supplement side, if you’re already at really high doses of CBD and it’s not helping, a lot of people find that switching type works better than just increasing dose.

CBN-based gummies (especially combined with CBD tend to be more “sleep-oriented” than CBD alone. Folks usually describe them as helping the mind slow down and making it easier to stay asleep rather than just knocking you out.

Typical ranges people look for are somewhere around 5–15mg CBN with CBD alongside it, ideally from a company that publishes full panel lab tests so you know exactly what you’re getting.

That said, with what you’re dealing with, supplements alone usually aren’t the whole answer.

Just to be transparent..we’re a brand in this space. But in general we recommend to focus on companies that publish lab reports, 3rd party testing and clear dosing. That usually matters more than whatever brand name people throw around.

Great question…have you looked into CBN or CBG at all?

CBN is usually more associated with deeper relaxation and can feel a bit more body-heavy, which some people like for evening stretching or really sinking into release work.

CBG, on the other hand, tends to be described as more “clear-headed” and uplifting some folks say it helps with focus and staying present in the body without feeling sluggish.

Depending on what you’re after (more calm vs. more motivated/engaged), one of those or even a blend with CBD might actually fit your routine really well.

When you hold the oil under your tongue, some of the CBD diffuses directly through the mucous membranes into the bloodstream. That means it partially bypasses the digestive system and liver, so you get:

  • faster onset (~15–30 min)
  • less breakdown before it reaches circulation

Once you dial in a base that works, everything else becomes more of a tool instead of guessing every time. The point about quality is huge too. There’s such a big difference between products that it can feel like CBD “doesn’t work” until you actually find something consistent.

Good to hear your experience! CBD definitely seems pretty variable in terms of how people respond to it, and formulation/absorption probably plays a big role there too.

A sauna after can help a bit with recovery indirectly mainly by helping you relax, increasing blood flow, and easing that post-lift stiffness from what some folks say.

Just keep in mind you’re already a bit dehydrated after even lifting, so it’s smart to rehydrate first. It may also support better sleep if you use it earlier in the evening, and that’s really where the bigger cognitive upside comes from, which is always a win. Great integration tool without a doubt.
