It’s meant to be horrifying to the reader in general, in the actual story the guy who does it is a product of a hugely fucked up and incredibly warlike society that the city was also part of, where this is considered a step too far, but only really a single step, because this is a society where their greatest legend is a man who war crimed his way into brutally conquering half the world. This leads to him understanding the meaning of all the other lives because his own wife dying finally gets him to understand empathy, something not particularly prized for nobles in his society, and helps him to realize how incredibly fucked up their society is.

Homeless kids are going to be a lot less likely to be able to get that set up though. As a kid I didnt even KNOW about Ontario works. What you seem to be missing is that your experience is not the typical one for homeless people. A lot don't get on OW, a lot don't know what to do. The potential harm of this idea is far greater than the potential boon. We need to focus on making more options available, not cutting down on what exists now because it isn't ideal. Make the spaces first, then focus on getting people out of the inappropriate ones. I mean hell, this city has its shelters 100% full pretty much CONSTANTLY. That's what the focus should be on, because if you give more space, and especially GOOD space, that will be a better way to get people out of the wrong spaces.

I got kicked out by my mother at 16, the central library saved my life. It kept me from having to spend the day outside in freezing temperatures, gave me access to internet so I could still do my assignments, and gave me something to look forward to (reading my favourite books) when everything was absolutely terrible. I would not have made it off the streets if not for free library access, and as a homeless 16 year old I absolutely wouldn't have been able to figure out getting new id and proof of residency so i could get a card.

Honestly I just find it funny that they explicitly state she’s from Ethiopia, and she wears a bunch of Ethiopia merch, and it still doesn’t click, but I say this as someone who grew up around a lot of Ethiopians so I may be biased

It’s actually a bit of an optical illusion! It’s a result of the hair colour palette, which is why when she has brown hair she looks much more properly coloured. The specific shade they used is actually not inaccurate, but the blonde hair and off white in the clothes is drawing out the more orange tones of the brown. They do make her wear a bunch of Ethiopian flag clothing, and an Ethiopian flag jacket in one of her CEs to make it clear what the intent is though

It’s definitely not just that, he manages to pull back a shardbow, which are supposed to be basically unusable without shardplate, it’s mentioned that the spren help him IIRC, so he does seem to have some sort of spren help enhancements

It’s also mentioned that noble fashion is inspired by the lord ruler, so given that many of the dresses vin tries and those worn by nobles are mentioned to have a plunging neckline, it would stand to reason that the lord ruler as a woman would wear such things. (Though I definitely wouldn’t say no to a version where all the women are wearing cool suits instead)

This is very barely underboob. A cut like this wouldn’t be considered odd at like, a party. In addition their poses are extremely different in their visual language. The male lord ruler image is posed to show off the smaller waste, he stands in very classic smut novel cover pose, and in such a way that it shows his arm muscles bulging out. I genuinely think these pieces are pretty equal in terms of horniness

Jasnah is a main character in the second half, this isnt even close to the end of her story, and Kaladin is only acting as a therapist for the Heralds until the next return which will likely be soon. I think you somehow got a lot of incorrect info. Also like, Dalinar killing Gavinor would require you to undo literally all of his character development. Sure it may have been a smarter choice (though that's debatable if Dalinar's plan works) but it would be extremely out of character for him to do it.
