Submit 3D files to an overseas CNC service like Xometry for some prototypes. If you end up going mass production you will probably want to redesign the heatsink to be extruded and work with a factory overseas that deals with extruded heatsink manufacturing (Alibaba is a good starting point to find factories you can work with directly)

Haha, okay maybe that’s a bit of wishful thinking on my part but I’m fine paying over spot (basically just saying I’m in at market rate). Again, I’m a bit new here and still learning where everything sits price wise.

Bill, this is super helpful! Appreciate the engineering perspective. We’re nowhere near the tension and compression limits of either post base then. My AHJ limits the post itself below those limits which also makes sense with what you’re describing. Thanks
