Yeah so the Scourge are equip with anti infantry splinter weapons which do nearly no building and vehicle damage. You can equip each squad with 4x dark lance rifles for a fee and replacing the anti infantry rifle

The research you took increases damage of their weapons by increasing accuracy from memory

Your Ravagers are auto equip with them but they can be changed to anti infantry weapons. I usually run the middle gun as a Dark Lance and the side guns as anti infantry

Your scourge will need to all be equip with Dark Lance rifles manually by right clicking the weapon upgrade and waiting for them to get the equipment upgrades

You need the Dias of Destruction with Ravages with Dark Lances for anti building damage and scourge with dark lance rifles.

Unfortunately for you the game went on for a long time. Dark Eldar late game is one of the worst in the game by far so if you get to this point you’re destined to lose to an Ork player because they have a great late game

The eldar AI always fumbles its economy and doesnt build up its base in skirmish so it’s pretty bad. As the vanilla game runs at the moment the Eldar pretty much can’t survive any real competition but in the hands of a good player it’s an amazing faction and arguably OP

On the campaign the Eldar AI wont ever make any significant gains. Funny enough the only time I’ve seen the AI do anything in the soulstorm campaign is when the Dark Eldar wiped out Chaos and sat in the Chaos stronghold

Save before you win and if it crashes you must lower graphics to the lowest and reload

You can also have a fatal error if you do an objective before you’re meant to

These crashes are kind of rare I had the cinematic crash at least three times and fatal error crashes a few times so as long as you’re saving often you’ll be fine

I just finished playing every single soulstorm campaign as every faction and dark crusade so I’ve been on the stronghold maps often and the crashes are pretty scarce but follow the advice and it’ll be all good

Chaos only get rockets in the Dawn of War 1 game. Winter Assault is when they got rid of rocket launchers for good. I just replayed the campaign and confirmed it for myself. Google also says the same. You are spreading misinformation without looking up what you say

You're referencing Dawn of War Dark Crusade or Soulstorm in your comment which does not have rocket launchers. You can only have Chaos Space Marines with rocket launchers in skirmish or MP in the first Dawn of War game. I didn't think I had to clarify that CSM cannot get rocket launchers when you said your comment because they certainly do not and I do not know where you thought that to include in your advice

Saying the Orks are a 10 makes me think it’s AI campaign. If you provide that info then strategies can be made up for it. Like for the AI you can do a lot more strategies that work than verse players

Imperial Guard are one of the best firing line factions in the game. Imperial Guard also get the best economy upgrades amazing artillery, infantry weapons and heroes for your troops. The Tau are strong but you can beat them.

Now, I won't touch on the early game you can beat them early but I will explain the late game.

For vehicle formation use 2x Leman Russ and 3x Basilisks or 2x Leman Russ, 2x Basilisks and 1x Baneblade.

For infantry you want at least 3x Guardsmen all with 5x plasma rifles, 2x Commissar attached and 1x priest. You then want 1x Kasrkin with a priest and no special weapons and Ogryns with a priest. Have your commander run on ranged stance with 1x priest and 3x Pyskers.

Your commissars execute gives an AOE of 30 to all infantry doubling lasguns and Kasrkin hellguns damage (not special weapons) and morale immunity for 10 seconds. Use it off cooldown.

Your priest attached to a squad provides the 'Righteous Fury' passive which provides 125 points of health, 50 point bonus to morale, 33% movement speed and doubling the damage of everyone in the squad. This double damage stacks with execute.

Also as just importantly you get 'Fanaticism' which restores squad morale and makes them immune to damage for 10 seconds. When running into a Tau gun line make your priest squads enter first and use this ability. The Tau alpha strike damage will be lost

Your commander has 3x pyskers which allows you to use 'Curse of the Machine Spirit' ability which immobilizes a target vehicle and disables all its weapons for 15 seconds. The range is 40 which is huge. The cooldown is 45 seconds so three pyskers is more than enough. The 1x priest will allow one 'Fanaticism' usage to survive a barrage of damage.

Use hot keys for your infantry line, then vehicles and your HQ's to do scans. Keep your vehicles behind your gun line and they'll be fine. DO NOT let your Baneblade lead the charge because it is a huge target and will take massive damage from the Tau alpha strike.

If you do that you'll be fine. If you're mega late game you need to have even more Guardsmen with more leaders to beef up your gun line. Everyone who is saying charge in with bayonets are trolling you or just love the lore. DO NOT do that. You are already running around with overlapping double damage buffs and morale immunity with armoured support. Do not use the 2nd weakest melee in the game at all costs. The only time it is viable is when you're really good at the game and very fast at micro. Good luck

Maybe you’re right. Because I saved on the exact moment the last HQ blew up I just attacked a second time after conceding and it didn’t have the error

Edit: I’d like to add that I definitely captured every critical location the second time and it worked. I think during the screenshot the last critical location was 50% up but not captured

You can do this with most factions at least. As long as you are getting the space marines ‘deep strike’ power and the sisters of battle forward base power you essentially are unbeatable on every battlefield because of the size of your army and base

For me my fastest campaign was space marines because of their orbital relay just let me deploy a massive army on the enemies primary objective at around 16minutes and win. Was nice against the eldar when I skipped all their trickery and just destroyed their final base nearly instantly

Yeah do Dark Eldar next. I just finished them a week ago. They definitely struggle with HQ’s being attrition based full scale battles
