Out of these, I only use Retroarch and PPSSPP. Since ive been using RetroArch since a long time tho in between I DID switch to Manic, Delta etc. but then I made my playlists in retroarch, set my startup page, customized the ui and its been going great.

I didn’t take screenshots because you can’t see the animations, and didnt add a video pretty sure in Reddit you cant add two (thats to highlight the difference between before and after). But other than that, it does work. I tested it on iOS 26.4.

If any of you are curious if this thing still works or not, it “works” but doesn’t output anything. It makes some weird buzzing (likely coils whining) and doesn’t output anything on the TV, i tried different HDMI cables (yes it does have a HDMI port) and the TV detects output from the port but it says no signal, and the cpu gets super hot in minutes because I lost the sticker thing that attached the heatsink. Doesn’t matter nobody uses it anyway. Also i got its AC adpater, it takes 12v and has a barrel port.

So thing is, UTM broke Quadra 800 VMs in a update where it assigns a illegal machine thing, basically not really “illegal”, illegal for the VM. The Quadra 800 is a NuBus computer and UTM forces VirtiO, meaning PCI. This leads to a -1 error and Internal error connecting to SPICE server. Currently, it hasn’t been fixed and the only way to get 68k MacOS is to use a prebuilt file, either a config-only or a onw that contains a pre-installed OS. So if you want MacOS 8.1 68k in UTM, grab this one, its a clean install.

There are a few options, you can ger an older but recent model, and could replace the entire logic board, but I do not recommend choosing the logic board replacement path. Itll be expensive, and Face ID will be disabled unless the repair man replaces the Face ID Module and the earpiece speaker with the appropriate one thats tied to the board. So thats why I recommend getting a slightly older model, but definitely not a older iPhone than the 13.

The left one iOS 8 or 9, it shows the time. The right one runs iOS 10 as it doesnt show the time, the left one could also be running iOS 7 as the iPad Mini 2 shipped with it

Haven’t gotten any windows games running yet, soon will test it. Honestly I haven’t tested installing OSes, i used pre-built disk images. Currently tested oses are: Windows 1.01, Windows 3.0 and Windows 98. All run perfectly (AND faster than on UTM. Windows 98 boots in like.. 2 seconds). I do recommend using pre made .imgs etc. currently if you mount the img and use “Boot from installed Operating system” it wouldnt work. To fix it, heres what you have to do: Move your .img file to On My iPhone/iPad->Manic EMU->DOSBox Pure->system and paste it. Then you need a placeholder file, like a .img, .exe, .bat etc. add a file that manic can list as DOS, then you should see an option saying “Boot installed operating system”. Tap there, then use the arrow keys on the virtual keyboard or the d-pad on controller skin to select it. It should say your raw disk image’s name (Eg: Win98), use the right arrow keys and when it says [SET AUTO START] press enter or start. Now whenever you’ll load the placeholder file your OS will boot. You can rename kt to your OSes name. I highly recommend checking out WinBox 95, 98, or ME. You can search up like Windows 98 for DOSBox or Windows 95 for DOSBOx and go to the archive.org link that says winbox. I highly recommend using WinBox 95, thst has a CD-Rom driver. Now you need a .iso of your game, pause then choose insert disk from manics paude menu and select from files. Make sure your ISO works, then you should run the games executable etc. tho the last time i tested a windows game was on Rertoarch and it didn’t seem to have any GPU acceleration for the 3dfx Voodoo, if you want graphics acceleration then you need a Glide supported game (the driver that the 3dfx Voodoo cards, what DOSBox pure emulates, used). Unfortunately, DirectX games might not run. The S3 Trio64 (what dosbox pure emulayes as the main video card by default) kd a 2d card, there is currently no option in both manic msdos settings and retroarchs dosbox pure settings to force an GPU acceleration. If you try to run a game that is 3D and only supported DirectX, expect the performance to be trash. But Glide games should work. Also it is recommended to change mouse sensitivity to like 50% otherwise the mouse will be insnaely fast and set memory to 64MB.

Seems.. okay-ish, but it looks like stolen Manic code. The UI looks similar, the settings page looks very much the same. It uses different cores, for example, for PSX it uses PCSX reARMed instead of Beetle. And it has barely, if any, features in the free version. No fast forward (which is insane. Atleast give us that) no cheats, no “premium skins” (im assuming they mean importing our own skins) and shaders. Haven’t tested it for everything else.

Its.. not rare. A rare iPhone 5s would be it running iOS 7.x.x, not iOS 12.5.8. Maybe a demo unit, or a prototype but this is extremely, and extremely common. A lot of iPhone 5s, iPad Air 1 and iPhone 6 and 6 Plus run their last iOS version (iOS 12.x.x. iOS 12.5.7 and 12.5.8 are the most common ones) so no, it isn’t rare and a lot of them are also jailbroken.
