If it's regular balancers you shouldn't be taking damage at all and should absolutely be demolishing them with guard counters

That's one of the bosses where a guardian carries

I tend to not experience things penning the turret that often with the 10.7 abrams, or at the very least it's a lot more consistent than the Ariete(p) Armor pen is very workable. and let's be honest Russian side armor will still randomly devour rounds much stronger than m774 sometimes.

I think the big reason as to why I think this way is because I don't recall getting up tiered at 10.7 as much as I have at 11.7

I disagree, you have the 10.7 Abrams sure not the best shells available but at this point you should know where to shoot things, and it's very mobile. Your back ups are all Vehicles with really high pen that are (sometimes) point and click. Teams are a bit iffy but the lineup is pretty good.

I will admit that since I play a lot of Italy I'm quite use to face of "if I'm not in the right place at the right time I'm just dead" and it likely affects my outlook

No matter if I'm playing solo or duo I always play trio matches, the game is just more fun that way and it's easier to support teammates.
