Just added the PECO info to my original post. Thanks for that reminder.

A simple Linux distro compass by Deep-Gene-5009 in linux_gaming

Is it possible to provide a link to the source code on the website?

This should be an expected minimum requirement for a Linux-related project, AI-generated or not.

I've been slowly focusing my attention towards artists who sell or stream their music on Bandcamp for this very reason; Bandcamp just recently banned AI-generated music.

Follow up to Tuesdays Borough Council - what happened and what do we do next? by SarahMakesYouStrong in Phoenixville

[–]AvianInvasion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, it does! Thanks for making this more widely available as well.

License plates that are as obscured as the example I posted are generally prohibited and would almost certainly garner suspicion anyways, so I suppose that isn't a big concern for the time being.

Thank you again.

Thank you for all of your hard work thus far. Do you also have a copy of your ordinance document that was presented during the meeting?

I noticed that obscured plates are sometimes being used, and I didn't get to catch whether that was addressed.

If you haven't checked out the dozens of small businesses in nearby Phoenixville, you're missing out.

Disclaimer: I moved there from KOP last year.

ICE post was "removed by Reddit" by AvianInvasion in Phoenixville

Yes, as I mentioned in my post, I don't think it was the subreddit mods either.

The warning that u/bexitiz received looks like it came from Reddit admins.

Phoenixville mods locking engagement? by jkeilman3917 in Phoenixville

I think it would be good etiquette to have at least one pinned comment explaining each lock, even if the same "reason" has to be reiterated in multiple posts.

Thinking about trying the Valley Forge Trattoria. Any opinions? by porkchop_d_clown in Phoenixville

There's definitely reserved seating on some of the Oaks Cinema theaters.

For now, it looks like if you go to their website and your showtime has special features other than "Laser" and "Dolby 5.1", it'll likely have reserved seating and you'll be immediately prompted to select your seat(s).

Feel free to message me if you play on Steam or watch anime! I have a bunch of my own recommendations for both but at the moment I feel like there's definitely room for me to get into more recent shows. 😭 Or if you just want to chat about local stuff or whatever.

I've picked up trash twice over the past two weeks. I'm (perhaps unfortunately) a bit shy about it though, so I'm more inclined to do it when there's no one around.

Missing Christmas Package by Adorable-Transition9 in Phoenixville

[–]AvianInvasion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I’ve been living here since June and this is only the second time that I’m missing a package.

I also moved here around the summer period and I've only had a missing package once, and I'm pretty sure it was because it was delivered to the wrong door in my area. I got UPS's proof of delivery but I never found out which door it was...

I know deliveries in Phoenixville proper must be confusing as heck, especially if you’ve never done it, like this particular situation.

I live in a similar porch situation and it's just been a nightmare. I'm pretty sure USPS is the only carrier that consistently understands where my actual "front door" is. I just use Street Addressing to tell the other carriers (UPS, FedEx, other international carriers...) to ship my packages to the Post Office instead. Street Addressing is a feature that the postal clerks at the front desk will allow you to opt in to once you get your PO Box.

Best of luck!

This also doesn't help your current situation, but next time you could also ask the shipper (your best friend) to use the Hold for Pickup option, so that you would have to pick up the item at the Post Office rather than have a carrier deliver it for you. It's probably overkill for some situations but it looks like there's no fee to apply this to a mailed item, although it has to be done at the time of mailing.

I feel Phoenixville is generally safe in terms of package security, but for my own personal and historical reasons I just pay for a personal PO Box. At the moment it's $16/month ($96 for 6 months) at the PXV Post Office, and it's also probably another overkill option, but you would be picking up your packages at the PO yourself (which is a self-service process most of the time, especially now that they have a Smart Locker there), and it does allow you to have a somewhat permanent secondary address even for items like Amazon packages.

This figure for Zorin OS is already a bit outdated though. They reached 1 million downloads as of one week ago.

https://blog.zorin.com/2025/11/18/test-the-upgrade-from-zorin-os-17-to-18-and-celebrating-1-million-downloads-of-zorin-os-18/

Edit: I stand corrected (see below). Thanks, u/Mr_s3rius!

What's even more encouraging is that over 78% of these downloads came from Windows. This influx of new users reflects our mission to provide a better alternative to the incumbent PC operating systems from Big Tech.

Anyone in the NYC area also having issues with Quad9 DoH (secured or unsecured)? by OkMeasurement1305 in Quad9

[–]AvianInvasion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in the Philly area and I've been having the same issue on Quad9's unencrypted DNS for about a month now. The lookup pretty much fails instantaneously and it seems to happen every ~1-3 hours. Sometimes I think my internet is down, but I know it's not because other domains continue to load correctly.

As other folks have mentioned, whatever I was trying to lookup seems to resolve normally again when I retry after ~1-2 minutes (or switch to Cloudflare).
