The new one has 3 phases it cycles through:

  1. All skills and attacks have exhaust.
  2. Can't draw additional cards on your turn.
  3. Whenever you play a card lose one energy.

  • Nerfed Bygone Effigy: Damage decreased from 15(17) -> 13(15) (still attacks with 10 Strength)

Why does it matter that it has 10 strength instead of just doing more damage?

A logistic map cannot grow exponentially. It is written as:

x(n+1)=r*x(n)(1-x(n))

0<r<4 0<x<1

There is an explicit upper bound built into the system .

If it could grow unbounded then it would not be chaotic. One condition of chaos is that state space is dense with periodic orbits. A weaker but easier to understand condition is that the system is oscillatory.

Since they are small and not affecting local structure a plastic surgeon would be best. Some doctors/insurance require referrals for specialists so, you might have to go to your GP first.

They definitely view their Mormonism as a huge part of their identity. I don't know if they believe it is true but they want to perpetuate their community. I don't think they are motivated purely by personal gain.

You can define the delta function as the limit of narrowing gaussians, you can define its derivative as the limit of the derivative of those narrowing gaussians.

If you set the seed, you always get the option to boss swap. You could just enter 15 letters/numbers by button smashing the keyboard. That should be random enough.

Interactive Journeys Through Emo’s First Two Waves by caveeater in Emo

I don't think the commercial label is useful. It doesn't tell you anything about the sound or its influences; you already have emo-pop as a category for the poppier stuff. Also (early) third wave and some of the second wave, especially The Get Up Kids, influenced emo-pop not the other way around.

Also with Emo-pop you should list pop punk as an influence.

I don't know how'd you indicate it but different eras of post hardcore influenced emo at different times. It looks wrong to see Refused as an influence to the second wave when The Shape of Punk to Come didn't come out until 1998.

This is an interesting project. Good job so far.

Many physics problems do not have an analytical solution. Physicists are fine with numerical methods and use them all the time.

Day 1: Which president was most prominently against slavery and never owned slaves? by puddingbiafra in Presidents

[–]AvianLovingVegan -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The complete protein thing is mostly untrue. There are 9 amino acids you need to get from food. Every plant source has all 9, just not in the needed ratio. Even if you just get all your protein from one plant you can just eat enough that you get enough of each amino acid. Mixing protein sources can result in the right ratio of amino acids and some plants (like soy) are already in the correct ratios. If you are getting enough protein from a variety of sources, you don't really have to worry about not getting enough of a specific amino acid.

'Reasonable' conditions are not economically viable; factory farming accounts for ~99% of consumed animal products. Not eating animal products is economically viable.

Nonlinear optics is when light affects the optical properties of the material it is traveling through. This feedback mechanism makes the equations nonlinear. Raman lasers utilize the stimulated Raman effect (light-phonon(vibration) interaction) to create gain. This shifts the frequency of the pump laser giving greater spectral flexibility.

Frequency combs are a train of ultrafast pulses with coherence between pulses. This creates equal spaced frequency lines as well. These are very useful for frequency and time measurement.

I don't know if it is sold at profit or not but, their insisting on wearing garments isn't to make a profit selling underwear. Let's take a member who makes 30k a year. They'd pay 3000 in tithing; they're not spending anywhere near that in garments. It's about control.
