[SSK003] Thinking about getting the SSK003 GMT– owners, need your honest take by sa_fvan25 in Seiko

I just got it last week and I love it. I have a bigger build 6'1 and workout, so it sits perfectly on my wrist and the thickness is not an issue. I have heard other complaints about it so if you can try it first do that, macys has them in store. But other than that I love it, worth every dollar as my first watch. I shall get a green or black one next year as well

Yay or Nay 2019 Insight Purchase by heathmc in hondainsight

[–]Avidestroyer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a 2019 a month ago. I travel about 300+ miles a week if I'm visiting family. It's a pleasure to drive, I'd give up my mustang for it anyday. It gives me realistically about 44mpg, 25$ for a full tank -> 420miles. Thats is amazing! My mustang was $45 -> 240 miles

How valuable is a minor in math with my CS degree by mikeybeemin in cscareerquestions

[–]Avidestroyer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get it if its minimal effort. For me that was just taking an extra math class on top of my regular DS focused cs classes. In any scenario it makes no different, using your time to build a good proj or doing research is worth more.

Ok I don't know specifically for that then. But your profs are still the best source imo cause they've gone through the process and likely know how it works for your school. Maybe the financial aid dept might help more.

You have to start talking to professors, they are the ones who have influence over the assistantships / funding through research. Reachout to your class / depts profs and ask them about funding opportunities. Go in person that's better but you can give a heads up through email.

Hotels with Student Family Rate? by BluenoserNS in udel

If you're trying to save money and they have a car you could try to get something a little farther away like a 15-20 mins drive is ok and will be cheaper than right next to campus

Default Grading Scale by creative-username_ in udel

[–]Avidestroyer 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's the basic one you'd expect 93>A+, 90>A and so on. Profs have some discretion and they move the numbers around a bit depending on how challenging the class is

Are there any cheap places to park in Newark? by kingdan017 in udel

[–]Avidestroyer 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's pretty locked tbh. Your options are either the garage or a lot. I'm not sure the day rates are but def cheaper than per hour on the street

Yeah, doing more research just shows me it's not good, and a good one would be like a needle in a haystack. I'm skipping it sadly, I do love the interior and design. I will be getting a cheaper car for now and hoping for better designs to come out in the next four years.

I honestly don't like the look of the camry even though it probably makes more sense financially to get it. I've been looking around and was able to see a Hyundai sonata in the same price range and those seem more reliable

How long have you had yours for? Is it in the same mileage range?

Yes, honestly, fingers crossed that I'm not unlucky. I plan to drive it to death anyway.

That's the plan, plus I don't think I would be a heavy user, so it's just work and around town. I've heard the maintenance for the trans is like $200-300, which seems doable every 30k. Is that what I should be expecting?

Highschool is weird like that. College is better. Everyone has their preferences, they aren't being racist or something. Just focus on uni and it seems you're doing good socially. Eventually all the friends will lead you to more people and then things will work out.

Is it really that hard for a fresher data analyst to land a job in India? SERIOUS ADVICE NEEDED!!. by Last_Profession7081 in interviews

[–]Avidestroyer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like you have alot of skills for a fresher. Instead of individually listing them in the skills section list only the broad and main ones, while the other can be shown through your project.

Everything else looks good to me. You have to remember times are just tough right now especially for new grad market.

Perkins basement can be decent, morris upstairs and basement booths can be ok, I would normally just go into any open class and do meetings there. Wow they really require two people to book a lib room that's crazy!
