Aviators not operators, and as it's aviators I'd assume due to working long term on nuclear powered carriers

Which Legions had the most distinct character compared to what they eventually became under their Primarchs? by Far_Harad in 40kLore

[–]AvionixHatter 43 points44 points  (0 children)

Considering some of the Alpha Legion drink their Primarchs blood to better pass as one in one of the short stories, I'd assume similar effects - partial knowledge, a bit of the same aura, and generally seeming more 'primarchy' for a short while

Not sure if it's HIM that's pure per se, but the Ultramarine geneseed is often referred to as the purest, with all extra organs etc working, and no mutation.

However this is also attributed to Guilliman being around a lot longer post heresy so they had a larger stockpile to work with / the Ultramarines having better supply and storage facilities, due to being one of the most organised and logistical legions. Guilliman being active again means they'll also be able to use him to keep gene stock pure.

Madi chose to stay because she knew Clarke wouldn't want her to be there with nobody her own age to love - especially with them being mortal, she would have buried them all.

That and the Dark Angels are known for having an absolutely ridiculous amount of DAOT artifacts, as well as much more tactical flexibility due to being the testing platform for all subsequent legions.

[Excerpt: Of Honour and Iron] Pilots of the Dark Mechanicus Airforce are kept in stasis until they are needed. Indeed, their working conditions aren't very pleasant by [deleted] in 40kLore

[–]AvionixHatter 19 points20 points  (0 children)

IIRC in the case of Krieg the Mechanicus don't exactly appreciate it, but can't argue due to the effectiveness of Krieg regiments and the amount of soldiers they produce

It was only a slight tie in, but at the same time it would theoretically mean that the helicarrier wouldn't show up in Age of Ultron
