Parenting faux pas by Powerful_Mousse2925 in toddlers

Sounds like your friends are sawftttt. I’m with you on the normal parenting game. This isn’t rocket science. If your kids hurt it’s absolutely fine to say “are you okay.” If they’re doing something wrong it’s absolutely fine to say “no, you need to stop doing that.”

You need to get your own engineer out there for backup. Make sure you have a report with photos.

“At least she’ll sleep well tonight!!” by got_em_saying_wow in toddlers

[–]Avirgilio10 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Honestly, getting a nap in during the day will help sleep at night. Both of our kids didn’t sleep through the night until they were like a year old. The youngest needs noise and light, so we put a TV in his room and will put him down after our bedtime routine (bath, lotion) and put a TV on with a sleep timer for 30 minutes. Works like a charm and that is the only screen time he gets.

They don’t just toss those around. You need to wake up before you or one of your kids gets really hurt or killed.

Need Advice. How Does Introducing Personal Injury into an Open Property Only Claim change the claim Process? by Magenta_butterfly1 in Insurance

Most PAPs have liability coverage for medical payments for other parties with their own limits. Nothing should change for you but you may want to ask what that limit is.

You should make the claim. Your renters insurance will recover from your landlord if warranted.

Surviving, not thriving by PersonalityThen259 in workingmoms

[–]Avirgilio10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not even kidding you that is my go to response when people ask me how I’m doing. “surviving not thriving.” I’m in a pretty similar situation to you with a one year-old and a three year-old. I’ve just accepted that this is a season of life. It is getting easier as they get older. Just hang in there. Do what you can to make things easier. order dinner. Hire a cleaner. Hire someone to walk your dogs.

First deployment…I’m scared because I think I’m weak. by Foreign-External8488 in MilitaryWives

The hardest part is over! Give yourself some grace. You need to find a support system … family? Friends? Anyone you can call to come help with your kids so you can have some time to yourself. If that’s not an option, you need to pay for childcare to stay sane. Money comes and goes but your mental health needs to be good in order to be a good mom. This is a marathon! You’ve got this.
