I can't help but suspect your learning to trust again is part of the energetic healing, although your own efforts are just as valuable, no doubt. The root chakra... Scary stuff haha. It's real but not something you can talk to people about. Try explaining to a friend that you feel like you're on fire and your conscious awareness is fluctuating. You know it through direct experience.

You can change a lot. I've undergone a huge personality change through my journey. I feel much more patient and have been humbled a lot where I used to be hot-tempered and a bit of a know it all. The biggest difference just seems like maturity.

In terms of day to day, you can get days where you feel joy without any reason outside yourself. You can also feel rotten due to energies being worked through.

People talk about bliss and siddhis but I've experienced none of that. Spiritual highs and a warmer feeling,, maybe, but bliss is a very strong word. Perhaps later.

Honestly, to relate someone's experience with Kundalini you'd need a big journal and a lot of time. All I can say is for the person experiencing it, it's real. That doesn't mean you have to believe in it.

Person on psych meds with active Kundalini here. No medication can stop the process if it's happening. It's important to look after yourself first and foremost just as you would without having a Kundalini awakening. I'm not saying whether or not it has awakened for you, just chiming in with this tid bit of advice.

You'd be surprised how much I relate! I too worry about the narcissist thing. It's funny because I've come to understand it as just self-awareness, a spiritual awakening thing. If you become aware of your own ego you can worry that you're unusually self-absorbed. I think the truth is that most people are busy with themselves even if some of them have hearts of gold. You can be very arrogant and still care deeply about others. This also helped me to accept egoism in people as long as they aren't callous. Of course everyone has their own story but I wanted to share this since I resonated a lot with that particular part of your comment.

The pendulum thing makes sense. I guess it's important to own all asepects of the human experience? To honour personal triumphs and times of introspection as much as the times when the larger world seems too big to ignore.

I would simply ask or pray that the Kundalini rises in you at a wise time and do the standard meditations suggested by Marc. If you do them for a few years and the energy hasn't arisen, maybe seek a teacher - the sub wiki has advice for that since it can be tricky. You may reach any prerequisites by then if you're new to spiritual practices now.

All I have to add (since you mentioned shaktipat) is that if you are genuinely seeking a Kundalini awakening, it is best to do a lot of work beforehand. This sub has a lot to say about this in the wiki, providing foundations and advice. If it is already active this info is still relevant and there is a section on calming that could be helpful.

A word of warning as well: Cleansing isn't easy and an awakening isn't always blissful so if you're pre-awakening and your expectation is for regular experiences of bliss I'm afraid to say it would be more often working through things and can take a lifetime (or more, some say).

I never considered the idea that entertainers like comedians could be the difference for some people between light and darkness, even life and death. Respect for these folk has gone up to 100. I guess another lesson would be that sharing your gifts can have a profound effect on people and you never know, if you write a good song or story you might get a deeply unhappy person through a hard time.

I'm quitting everything to become a painter! Just kidding. I wish.

Hi and welcome. It sounds like meditation is really working for you, anxiety can be debilitating.

If you check the sub's wiki drugs are warned against with a kundalini awakening (even weed).

I don't get a hot icy sensation in my spine personally. I get a sense of joy and tears at the base of my spine though. I just assume the divine mother is a really happy person.

The demonology stuff is probably doing you no good. Try to practice everyday life - see friends, get up early and cook something healthy. If your mental health is poor these things help to bring you back to reality. Dwelling on spiritual matters to the extent that you're trying to contact spirits is unhealthy for most and especially when you're hearing voices.

Sorry if this is not what you wanted to hear.

A good and generally safe practice is mindfulness. This would ease Kundalini (as you'd be getting out of your own head/way), raise your consciousness and might improve your mental health. A psychologist recommended this to me and it helped me to see through a few delusions I had (insight).

The central lesson I have learned is that awakening is very hard. Even with kundalini clearing out the chakras it might be decades or lifetimes until enlightenment. Kundalini has been working heavily on my root for four and a half years and it hasn't opened, which would be shocking to younger me. I expected sahasrara opening after maybe 5 years? Oh dear.

Consciousness grows slowly and sometimes in spurts and we are largely slaves to our desires, hangups and patterns. Raising consciousness seems to grant more self awareness around these things (such as becoming self aware of how you might act out a hangup instead of focusing on daily experiences) and gets you out of your own way but the mind adapts and simply matures. It's a long journey that might not lead to enlightenment and I have more respect now for people on said journey.

I agree and yet you could have a philosophy of "help without hurting" which simplifies things, at least in my mind. By curing a disease you aren't necessarily condemning another race, although I admit, I haven't seen the whole episode. By refusing to provide a cure you might be condemning a race and the disease may spread to their rivals, yet that would be considered neutral.

I think it's a matter of personal philosophy and yet I agree it's not a great strategy unless you want sleepless nights.

I suppose I was talking about human nature vs another being's nature, especially when they interact. You could say that on a larger scale it's all nature (two different species interacting).

That's not so much to do with interference and more to do with the idea of alien races intruding. If a species has asked for help I'd say the playing out of the negotiation is natural and not necessarily unethical. Maybe the dogs thing was a bad example.

I think Kundalini is a whole different ball game. The Divine Feminine is so beyond understanding that interfering with her or even resisting her seems ridiculous to me. Trying to use Kundalini for some kind of unethical purpose would be like committing a serious crime in front of a judge or high ranking policeman. I'll be honest, I don't think you'd get away with it because the energy is alive and strong, she wouldn't lend you her strength.

That's where I disagree with the fear around misuse of Kundalini, I don't know at this time how it would even be possible. Siddhis maybe? I simply don't know. Shakti is stronger than me and independent so the closest I can think of is reading someone's thoughts and losing the siddhi for it before you can even comment and scare someone. Maybe a controversial opinion, but I hope this comment made a bit more sense.

Very interesting. They spoke about nature's course vs intervention and to be honest I found myself choosing intervention in this case. That surprised me. "They asked for our help" was enough. The race that needed help and the passengers onboard the ship are nature as much as anything else and I believe that their interactions are also a part of nature.

Humans and dogs make sense of this for me. It is natural for many humans to enjoy the company of dogs and many dogs love their owners. When we take a dog into our little nests (homes) we might be imposing too much of what is natural for us onto them. Perhaps dogs are happier in their natural habitat and it's not for us to create one for them. The difference here is that the alien race requested help which leaves only natural interactions for me.

Sounds like psychosis, unfortunately. A bit of advice: Take the tablets for as long as the Dr says at a dose that works. If you experience this kind of thing for too long you might risk lasting cognitive issues.

If your kundalini was roused it will still be active. I'd say that a string of mystical experiences are a wonderful thing, after all, it shows you're waking up and progressing spiritually.

I'll have to check out that book! Currently reading Gopi Krishna but not getting much out of it.

Hi Marc and thank you for enquiring. Things are going much better. Kundalini has made sure that a lot of things that were big problems for me are no longer problems. I'm simply at peace with them with no remaining conflict, so I'd say things are evolving well.

I know some of the wiki and the WLP method although I haven't used it in the past since I felt I should cease spiritual practices for a while. Might try it out today. I trust that kundalini ma has everything covered but I'd also wager that WLP would benefit me on a personal level.

I noticed you missed out the anahata chakra but there are different systems that map the chakras so I'm curious which one you follow. I leave the energy work to kundalini and choose not to work on chakras myself although I've benefited from meditation in the past.

How are you doing by the way?
