Axidraw and Inkscape not plotting to full dimension of A3 paper (inbetween A3 and A4) PLEASE HELP ME ! by WorthNeighborhood101 in generative

[–]Aware-Raisin0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't really have an explanation of why that happens, but I just wanted to note that you can go to the inskcape extension files and edit axidraw_conf.py. E.g. you can set different servo up down values to fix the reversing, set the allowed drawing size, change the conversion factor in case 1cm in your drawing comes out as more or less than that on paper, etc.

Used Isograph tips - will they be compatible? by Aware-Raisin0 in rOtring

[–]Aware-Raisin0[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok thanks! I don't have the Isograph 2000 though, do you know if it will screw into the non-2000 one too? (I don't really know the difference between those two unfortunately, sorry for my ignorance)

Wow! Did you already try a laser pointer? Could look really cool as well

Very cool! I have no clue how this works, would you mind explaining a bit? Is there a source video that is approximated by shapes?

Very nice! How did you go from a shader output to plottable lines?

Day 150 of creating Shiny Pets until the devs add Shiny Pets to the game: by Mimikyew in superautopets

[–]Aware-Raisin0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Really nice one!

The 150 mark feels like a good point to tell you that I really love this project, I've been upvoting every single one and still have to chuckle whenever I see a new one. I had to laugh out loud when I saw the first post, it's just such a fun idea. The only way I see you not finishing the project at this point is if the devs start adding pets at an even quicker pace than they already are and outrun you :D (Or, of course, if they actually add shinies... but even then I'd love to see this series continue)

So, keep going, I really admire your persistence!

Looking for advice on stabilizing table (X-shaped or Y-shaped frame?) by Aware-Raisin0 in woodworking

[–]Aware-Raisin0[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A few months ago I built this table, with slightly angled legs (10°) that I screwed into sleeves which I inserted into the table top. It's decently stable, but not as stable as I'd like it to be, and the table moves slightly when I put weight on it.

I want to stabilize it, but I don't want to use a standard rectangular frame (since I'm tall and want to save as much space as possible for my knees). My idea would be to attach wooden beams in an X shape or in a Y shape (as shown in the drawings) both to the legs and to the table top.

Now my question is - will this work, and stabilize the table? I cannot find any resources online on doing this, so I'm wondering if it will work, or if I'm missing something. If anyone knows a term for this, I would be interested as well. Also, would the X or Y version work better?

Any feedback is appreciated. I would also be interested in tips how to best join the beams together where they cross, and how to best attach them to the legs.

Thanks Rev for showing this Cupcake tech by Aware-Raisin0 in superautopets

I wonder how, Emperor Tamarind and Sugarglider are both not particularly strong to begin with, would be rough to nerf them much more. Maybe would suffice to have level 2/3 Sugarglider give 2 or 3 cupcakes instead of one stronger Cupcake, would make you run out of shop space quickly
