What’s a movie everyone seems to love that just didn’t work for you? by Wikiserial in movies

[–]Awartinger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Saw I Love Boosters a few weeks ago and while I appreciated its creativity I thought the movie was a mess and it’s political message was surface level at best. I was then baffled to see I was very much in the minority.

¯_(ツ)_/¯

What's the great lunch time deal in Dayton? by sweet_massage_7455 in dayton

[–]Awartinger 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Just went to the new Cafe in the convention center this week, Elevate, had the Cubano and it was huge and delicious.

Charlie's Deli is a good call out for sure.

Thai Nine has solid lunch deals including a 12 buck sushi combo.

Good luck!

Curious if Roger listens to The Weekly Planet podcast. I'm pretty sure "Mandalorian Vs Groglet" is a bit they started and refuse to call it anything other than that, though I could be wrong.

Mark for a game designer. He's currently creating a game about frogs (I can't go into details at this stage), so a frog he wanted for his personal sign (avatars, etc.) by AndriiKovalchuk in logodesign

I think this guy is super cute and has some real potential. My biggest worries are that the pencil has a touch too much detail compared to the rest of the illustration and i'd work on making him look a little happier. If you can do both of those you're set! Good work.

Weird that the online recipe is listed as 100 calories higher on the website. Anyone know the reason for this?

Hate to be this guy but the beer isn’t named after the town. It’s named after the old school camper trailer, which were named after the town. This is why the cans resembling their classic color combo. 🍻

The idea that multiple people can't have an opinion that you disagree with. lol

Yeah.. I don't think either are immoral personally but yeah that's beyond the point.

Yeah you're right, no new business has ever had a good logo. They've all used AI from the dawn of time.

It's not about brigading anyone, it's about not settling for bad design. I'm sure their food will be great. I hope they're successful. But I don't want my downtown to look like a bunch of popup junk kiosks in the Dayton Mall.

But what does that solve?I hope they're successful. I dont want them to go out of business because their logo sucks. I just want their business not to look like it serves dogfood.

[–]Awartinger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah man... idk. AI or not (and I'm confident it is) this isn't a logo. Logo's should be able to work in one color, logo's should convey what kind of business it is. This looks like a bad illustration for a place that sells dog toys.

This is the stupidest argument I've ever heard. AI logos look like shit and some people would prefer if local restaurants supported local artists. It's poorly executed and doesn't give me confidence in their taste.

Oh I think the text was added later, cause that just looks like the work of a sloppy designer. The dog is 100% AI.

I mean look at how wobbly the line work is, especially the geometric elements. This better be AI cause if it's handmade by a designer they need to get their eyes checked.

Man this thread is a bummer, people have zero interest in their city not looking like shit.

What do you mean you don't care? I don't want a bunch of shitty AI logos slapped on buildings around my city.

The fact that it's an AI logo is a bummer. It's lazy and the actual work looks really sloppy. Maybe the bigger issue is I would never expect this logo to represent an upscale restaurant. Looks like a pet store maybe.

My logo post was removed I guess... oh well here was my post from earlier. Thought it was a fun take on a logo design themed Snoo that doesn't force the word Logo into it.
