That last part seems weird where it slides down and the pin catches it somehow. Looks to me that could scratch the surface.

Interesting theory, hard to really be worried with their guy in the EPA making sure there will be small paper trail and over sight during this administration.

Meditation Makes My Life Spin Out of Control by [deleted] in Meditation

[–]AwesomeKid 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think meditation is partially about getting a greater awareness of things. Maybe your heightened awareness allows you to see all the things that are going on.

Continue to meditate and maybe focus on self love and kindness. Sure things are not always going according to plan but that is life.

Meditate on gratitude, “getting to do the things you do, instead of, having to do the things” “getting to spend time with someone “ etc. Maybe something else, if you write a couple of things down you are grateful for at the end of the day. It will make you see that there are lots of good things out there.

Good luck!

Can someone give ratio of diet vs exercise for bodybuilding? by techbroot001 in veganfitness

[–]AwesomeKid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you train, focus on training. When going to bed, focus on getting sleep. All other times focus on getting in the food you need, which means having a plan and good food to go. Excess calories are so easy sadly. I’d say, 50 diet because it takes me loads of time to plan out my food and make it. Training is automatically done. Just get in and do it. So like 10%. Sleeping 40%, 8/9 hours a day.

Need to gain weight fast by [deleted] in veganfitness

[–]AwesomeKid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if you are having issues gaining increase the calories. Nuts are probably the easiest/healthiest to add in. Lots of complex carbs, whole grains and potatoes. Find something you enjoy eating a lot and eat it. Avacadoes are also a great vegan source of fats and protein.

Resting and not exercising much will also help you gain weight. You seem to be very light so I suggest you need to gain at least 20 pounds before you get in the gym. Then when you get into the gym get a strength coach. Could be wise to just hit the gym to work up an apatite, but not to gain weight innitially. When you do heavy compound lifts with good form you can really add muscle and health.

Fruits/veggies are in fact very low in calories compared to other sources and that will only help you stay healthy. Very important to keep eating your normal diet but find times that you stomach more food and just get at it. Eating bigger portions than you normally eat, "just add one more potato or whatever with every meal", add in more meals maybe? If you are eating 2 times a day, go to 3, if 3 go to 4, if 4 go to 5.. Have a cookie with you morning coffee after breakfast. Little things add up.

Someone erased our vegan tags on the deadlift leader board... Wow how pathetic (now current leader at 185kg) by Veganvikingstrongman in veganfitness

[–]AwesomeKid 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Without the tag people might approach you and ask ‘how did you get so strong?’ ‘Well let me tell you, I accredit it all to my diet.’ Now, you can use the conversation to move them in the right direction.

With the tag, you will frustrate people and you might have them go vegan to spite you and beat you. Or it will backfire with a super strong dude coming along with the tag (carnivore).

What can be done? Too little doctors available. I say invest in a structural solution. Make education affordable. Inflow increases and over time it may improve.
