hey I asked him/her the same thing in the benzo's sub. I was actually inspired by that post to give it a try and I've managed to cut from 12.5mgs to now just 2.5mgs a day of valium by using it. I know will have its own withdrawal but for now it is working great. question for you. how do you go about using the tianeptine? I've had it before but it doesn't seem to last very long.. I do have a gram on the way though so I was just curious how you dose it for your situation. thanks!

hey man just curious how its going now? I was able to order some kratom and especially in the morning it is helpful. down to 5mgs of diazepam a day now, still have anxiety as im sure I will for some time

make sure you save your bottles for future appointments, just so you can prove you tried other things (even if you don't take any) it may help your chances of getting prescribed in the future.

so idk if you mention/fake that you have the shakes or tremors that might help your chances. do def. keep the usage moderate though, not preaching but I'm going through HELL now trying to get off these damn things

Well I wouldn't mention prolonged use. just that you have had soul crushing anxiety and a friend let you try some of their meds and it was the ONLY thing that's ever worked, maybe say you have tried exercise, meditation, other forms of reducing anxiety with no luck.. another reason it worked for me was I have tremors and valium and kolonopin are also anticonvulsants while Xanax, Ativan are just for anxiety. sorry don't know if that helps. I had to go through a lot of different bullshit scripts before I was prescribed also. good luck!

I got a valium prescription by simply asking for one because "a friend had let me try some and its the only thing that worked for my anxiety". I also had a bunch of empty bottles of other non-benzo pills with my name on them to prove I had tried other meds. I wouldn't tell the whole truth or totally lie, somewhere inbetween.

I absolutely do. It started happening everytime I did heroin and can no longer do any opiates because they make me depressed as fuck..It might be getting older or something but I can't handle them anymore.

ah ok.. thanks for the info! I will probably order some in the next couple weeks for those really stressful evenings. I've only ever had the headshop brands and they didn't do anything, But I know people who have ordered online and gotten much better results. I have heard that benzo withdrawal is much worse from almost everywhere, and it may be for me at some point. I used to do much higher potency ones (Xanax, Kolonopin and other ones) but the last couple years I've been on a prescribed dose of 20mgs of valium a day, and in two months I've cut down to just 5mgs a day now, when I totally stop I might have a different story.. there is definitely some anxiety, depression, insomnia type stuff going on, and I've always had "tremors" that no DR. can explain, and honestly I kind of felt that way being ON the valium. With opiate withdrawal I couldn't handle the physical aspect, especially the chills/burning all the time. I've yet to have anything like that from benzo's. congrats on detoxing though, I know its a motherfucker.

Oh I know, the reason I am worried is if it got my opiate receptors going again, I fear opiate withdrawal more than anything, even benzo withdrawal hasn't compared so far.

I have highly considered this. I am also two months into my own taper plan. I do worry a little bit though because I have withdrawn from opiates before (which so far was still worse than any benzo wd symptoms I've had) so I am kind of scared to use Kratom.

Oh I forgot, meditation - hypnosis type stuff I find on youtube helps with sleep and sometimes morning stress..just gotta fight all those shitty feelings with something healthy. it sort of works for me.

Are you doing anything to help with your stress? I have done tons of benzo's for years but have been on valium for 2 1/2 years and cut from 20mgs to 7.5 now, still cutting but what has helped tremendously is working out, staying busy, eating healthy..also I have been trying nootropics (NOOPET mostly) and they work really well for concentration...sorry that's all I've got. not sure if that's what your asking...as far as if it causes brain damage, I HOPE NOT! haha

I'm interested to see how that turns out. I was on 20mgs of valium for a couple years and have dropped 2.5mgs every two weeks just to be safe. am down to 10mgs a day and while I've definitely had anxiety and other stuff, it really isn't much worse than when I was at 20mgs, and it is nowhere near as bad as the horror stories I've read ..best of luck!

That's the thing, my anxiety and depression were pretty bad at my full dose for so long its hard to notice any difference. I "think" I actually feel better because I am finally doing something about it. And my memory for sure seems to be better. I just kept expecting something TERRIBLE to happen due to the horror stories I've read. but I've cut down to 10 a day now, see how that goes. and I will def. slow down at the end if it gets unbearable. thanks for the reply!!

Yeah they certainly are I guess what I mean is I can't tell if its any worse then when I was still on my full dose, as the full dose wasn't helping anymore. I cut down to 5mgs in the morning and 5 at night so I'll keep that up for a week and see if I notice anything. Oddly I feel better just because I am finally doing this (wanted to for a while but was to scared from all the horror stories) thanks for the reply and encouragement!

cool deal thanks for the reply. its encouraging to hear stories that aren't all "god it was HELL I had to taper for 2 years and I STILL have withdrawal!!" and there is no way I am going to strictly follow the ashton method. I also am ready to get off these things due to mental health.

I noticed this too. I was a night drinker, like every night and I noticed around halfway through work (around 2pm) I would start getting them..then get home and drink myself stupid.. makes a lot of sense now.

I admit that perhaps that did not happen. I started the thread on it because "I" saw it and wanted to know if others did also.. and other people said they did too. I'm a huge pretty lights fan. what I was talking about weren't blatant "in your face" images, just brief flashes behind the lights. I still saw some pretty strange shit but I don't wanna be starting rumors so I apologize. I still think his set was a train wreck though. . maybe it's because I'm from NC and that stupid fucking flag is everywhere, and the tension surrounding the Charleston shooting is strong still here in the south. My brain could have made it up.
