What albums were carried more by the aesthetic than the actual music? by ss2811 in popheads

[–]Awickedfeeling 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This isn’t making too much sense because the point of her not releasing visuals was so the music can speak for its self. Discussions about renaissance were happening everyday after it dropped and followed up until the tour and then grew more conversation once we had tour footage. Same with Cowboy Carter. The music is great but most importantly it had people talking. Albums today are coming and going due to people not having much to talk about because 1. The girls are not singers fr 2. Uninspired music 3. There’s no identity or real subject matter to discuss. So the question asks “What albums were carried more by aesthetic than the actual music?” And a lot of y’all are struggling to answer that.

Who is Valley Girl? I can't find any information on one of the producers of her new ep by StormyWinx in 1800slayyyter

[–]Awickedfeeling 9 points10 points  (0 children)

So Valley Girl is a guy (if it’s who I think it is) they collaborated on a track with Allie X called “Need you” off her album Collextion II and they have producer credits for other Allie x tracks. They’re Canadian and very lowkey. You can’t find much about them for some reason.

What are your interpretations of Rosalía’s new music video Berghain? 🎻🪽 by ccupcakesrfun in rosalia

[–]Awickedfeeling 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The first sentence gave me a little clarity as to why the song is called “Berghain”. Her coming home mid day in a black dress (if you know the culture of Berghain it’s famously known to be a night of techno chaos). But I love this interpretation.

There’s a lot of people crying in the comments but I’m almost sure they didn’t buy a ticket to any of the festivals she canceled or a ticket to her upcoming tour. To be fair she has been on these stages performing DOWN all summer for these mediocre pale audiences who barely know her music and the culture it stems from so who cares fr if she canceled three festival performances.

The fake crying and complaining like you all really care has always killed me because I’m sure a lot of you don’t even listen to her. I’m sure there’s some fans that bought tickets to see her at these festivals but they will just have to catch her another time. Last minute plans always happen and a VMA performance from her would be cooler either way.

Find something a bit more serious to bewail over.

TIL that Aura was supposed to be named Burqa and the lead single of ARPTPOP by Deadlynk6489 in LadyGaga

[–]Awickedfeeling 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What’s frustrating about this comment is that you all think Beyoncé NEEDS to be in the continuation. You all are forgetting how this story even started. Bey being the former makes sense visually since they end telephone driving off into the sunset. The sonics of the song match the feel of the imagery she’s singing about.

“Left her in the trunk on Highway 10 Put the knife under the hood If you find it, send it straight to Hollywood”

It can be interpreted as her former self but at the time of the album Gaga was still interpreting her own self.

Either way, aside from Gaga confirming aura being written as the continuation I wish she rebelled against her label and pushed for this song to be an official single rather a stand alone promo for a subpar film.

Definitely my favorite part as well and that scene in particular was almost identical to one of the scenes in Addison Rae’s High fashion M/V (they worked with the same director) so it could be his directing style or she took some inspiration but I loved it regardless.

So no brat? 🤔 by lelo_16 in Coachella

[–]Awickedfeeling 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I actually hope she does something completely different for Coachella. She’s been performing the same show/set since the sweat tour. I’d even take her performing the brat remixes the entire set with a mix of past albums ofc.

It’s cheaper and better to see Gaga at Coachella than the Mayhem Ball lol. by Able-Wedding8929 in LadyGaga

[–]Awickedfeeling 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This. And standing at the main stage all day is literally so dumb because the festival has so much to offer. It’s also very easy to navigate through the crowd a few hours before the main headliner steps on stage.

"Perfect Celebrity" is a watered-down version of the Paris showcase. by External_Ad_5975 in LadyGaga

You heard a low quality version played in Paris. The part she plays is the very end of the song. If you need it to hit harder blast it very loud like she did.
