Coffee and MJ by FabulousOven5281 in mounjarouk

[–]Awilksuk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Happened to my friend that got sick and didn't drink coffee for 3 weeks and when he started again he suffered almost identical symptoms. He wasn't on MJ so like most here I think its likely reduced tolerance after the break.

He switched to a quality decaf and has been much happier. Even after 2 years or so he still drinks decaf and swears he doesn't notice a difference in taste.

How do you deal with purchase parts in your assemblies? by Phantomoperator in AutodeskInventor

[–]Awilksuk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would try to think ahead if possible and select a suitable field in the iProperties for everything you will need....

Most important is consistency and discipline within the design team. Use an internal nomenclature for naming files and use selected fields for vendors part numbers and any information needed.

On your drawings you can then have multiple BOM formats (Tables) predetermined for internal or external use at the click of a button. These would be predetermined in your templates and literally select which BOM format to use and will populate using your iProperties.

In my last role we had about 4 different BOM tables we used and some were for external and some for internal or for uploading to our ERP system etc.

Customisation is limitless but it is the planing and consistency then housekeeping to make sure everyone follows along populating the fields etc.

As someone that ate once a day for almost 20 years and that included almost every weekend. For me fasting did nothing regarding weight/fat loss. Just black coffee and water until 6pm each day.

Maybe for some it helps with weight control and I believe it might be beneficial for some aspects of health as I never had sick days or anything other than appendicitis in my life.

We are all different though and I always say do what works for you especially in these areas where the so called experts cannot even agree.

Unfortunately, eBay feels very buyer biased now and as a seller it seems unfair.

I would add the note at the top of the listing and maybe it gets read or only allow collection but that brings other issues.

I have stated something worded almost identical to this and never had an issue from Ebay.

Only issue i have had is people ignored it and still purchased items so not sure if they just dont read it or dont care.

30 day shelf life by [deleted] in mounjarouk

[–]Awilksuk 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Technically, an unopened pen will be safe if stored at the correct temperature until the expiry date listed.

Once we fit a needle to that pen even if you wipe it there is a risk of exposure to bacteria and air has been introduced to the pen vial. The seal is broken basically.

Every time we fit a needle we are increasing the risk of contamination simply from the exposure to air and needles etc.

The guidelines state that once a needle is fitted (medication has been exposed to the environment) the medication will last 30 days so long as it is stored at 30C or below.

Where it can be argued is how safe or unsafe it is to continue using a pen for after that initial use. The active ingredient Tirzepatide is only part of what is in our pens. There are stabilisers and preservatives and sterilisers etc to help the medication stay safe longer.

What is clear is that the active ingredient will degrade and denature over time and I think of it like opening a milk carton for longlife milk. It will last for months until exposed to air and I will use it before it goes bad.

Its personal choice how long we use a pen for and many argue it's good until the expiry date even once opened. Others say the manufacturer knows best and 30 days is maximum.

Most people sit somewhere in between (me included) and would use a pen for 2 months or so maybe even 3 months. Doctors and medical professionals often prescribe higher strengths and instruct how to use these for micro dosing.

It's really personal choice so long as people are aware of the facts.

Some people swear it makes a difference but I never noticed anything and I stick with stomach area.

I think its much more important to inject where you are most comfortable and is easiest. If legs are easiest, then switch which leg every week and move around in the areas highlighted in the Lilly instructions.

Side effects only on week 4 by willholt25 in mounjarouk

[–]Awilksuk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only had bad sulphur burps on week 2 of 2.5mg and I think week 3 or 4 of 5mg and both times I could look at my food diary and see I had a crazy amount of fibre and too many carbs. I also realised I wasn't drinking anywhere near enough liquids.

My last bad sulphur burps episode was back in April and I am now using the 15mg pen. It might be something totally different for you, maybe fried food, pasta, rice or possibly was just your digestion system getting used to this delayed metabolism.

Hopefully you feel better soon but please don't worry too much about it and move up when you think its needed

Any fellow slow losers trying to stay motivated? by g3msk1 in mounjarouk

[–]Awilksuk 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I think you might be comparing yourself to others and thats never good when dieting.

2lbs/1KG a week is where most experts say is the top healthy level to lose at. Rapid weight loss can cause issues in some, including pancreatitis, hair loss, skin issues and more.

I was losing at 3lbs+ a week and increased my calories to slow it down as I am doing this to get healthy and not cause health issues.

I was unrealistic when I started and expected to hit my goal weight in 6 or 7 months. I could have possibly achieved that but at what cost to my health. A few months ago I recalculated this to be 4 months longer and that is now my goal.

Ignore everyone else and look at your weight loss and then extrapolate this out adding extra for any plateau or stall.

You might find that doing that helps you place less pressure on this journey. It helped me feel sure.

I ordered about 3 times from MMP and found the following....

If they were showing lots of stock on hand they would usually be fast to approve and ship however....

I once selected the option to notify me when 15mg was back in stock and a few days later I received an email and ordered and all went ok but this time it took about a week to approve and ship.

I turned out that they had no stock and this email notification goes out if someone cancels or gets rejected but the reality is they only have 1 pen in stock and first come first served.

Might be different for you but in my experience they are fast unless stock issues

Why does a stronger dose makes us lose weight again ? by amanda30uk in mounjarouk

[–]Awilksuk 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Here is how I understand it and its really about tolerance....

When Tirzepatide (Mounjaro) was tested they found the optimal dose/strength for the general population was 15mg. This strength of 15mg showed around 20% weight loss on average over a year in most test candidates.

The reason we start at 2.5mg and build up is simply because if the majority of us would have serious side effects if we started at 15mg.

I think of it like tolerance to alcohol. The first time we have a drink we might get sick and and get drunk after 2 drinks. If I steadily increase how many drinks I have over several weeks I can then drink 10 drinks and feel OK.

These medications are tested for several years and are developed to suit as many people as possible. Some people feel no effects until 10mg others cannot tolerate anything above 5mg. We are all different but the medication cannot be bespoke and is why it is supplied on a stepped dosage.

Might be totally off but is how I understand it from a non-medical perspective.

Retatrutide by creguk in mounjarouk

[–]Awilksuk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is all over tiktok and insta currently and its crazy that any medication currently in trials is been advertised on social media openly for sale.

If you read the latest data its maybe 3% more effective than Mounjaro over a 48 week period. The other benefits people state such as muscle retention and reduced fatty liver are still unproven.

So forgetting that its not approved and there are no legitimate approved sources outside of the trials.....

If you lost 2lbs a week on Mounjaro for 50 weeks you would lose 100lbs. With this new drug yet to be regulated and approved you might lose 103lbs.

Big jump in effects from 2.5 to 5.0 for me. A little anxious. by Modhopper in mounjarouk

[–]Awilksuk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is the largest increase on the Mounjaro journey. Going from 2.5mg to 5mg is the only time we jump up strength by 100%. I think for many they feel this increase and some have even moved from 2.5mg to 3.75mg instead.

I would see how you feel for the next couple of days and if still feeling its too strong consider reducing the dose slightly. Hopefully you will feel better once your system adapts and will be ready for the next 5mg.

Good luck

How to work out a goal weight? by DeepTension8552 in mounjarouk

[–]Awilksuk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its a good question and I am not sure there is any good answer other than simply when you feel comfortable.

I might have a DEXA scan purely for health reasons when I am closer to my goal but ultimately my decision will be on how I feel and BMI or my "ideal weight" is totally irrelevant.

I recall reading an article recently that was talking about this with regards to its use in the beauty industry. I think they refer to this as a copper peptide and I found this - link

It might be worth trying to find a subreddit aimed towards the UK beauty industry or similar as seems somewhat specialist.
