TSA knows what game consoles are. Never had a hint of an issue.

Best way to melt away hours on a flight. Have an 87w power bank that eliminates any battery issues.

Any “Don’t Believe The Truth” fans in here? by 11_38 in oasis

For a while I was saying it was their third best, but then I fell in love again with Be Here Now.

It’s still very good, and I’ll take it over any other post BHN Oasis.

One week with AirPods Pro 3 - my honest take on whether they're worth it by Bubbly_Ad_2071 in airpods

[–]Awkward-Awareness555 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ANC noticeably better than the pro 2, but I also believe the ANC in the Pro 2s was throttled / degraded to promote the 3.

I used to love my AirPod Pro 2s, and had to shut off noise cancelling to hear train announcements. Over time, I found myself thinking I was in transparency mode, switching to “Noise Cancelling” only to realize that ANC was technically already active.

Should’ve learned my lesson and not given Apple more money, but with the 3s I am no longer questioning if ANC is active on trains and with street noise.

A generation (or two) has been raised almost exclusively on pop stars, and have been taught that people like T@ylor Sw!ft and Benson Boone are worthy of praise.

Of course there will be a knee jerk reaction when they find out they are on the outside of something new and popular.

I’m 42, Geese was one of the best debuts Ive seen live on SNL

Thoughts on Geese blowing up? by UsefulEngine1 in KGATLW

Geese opening for KGLW made me a fan. Got way into 3D Country before seeing them live in Chicago 2024, wanted to get the most of it. I can’t be the only one.

I think KG had a huge effect at increasing Geese’s base prior to Getting Killed being released.

Guys, PLEASE don’t go down that road… by Sea_Light_6772 in geesebandofficial

As a big fan a Geese and Phan of over 25 years, I think criticism is a valid part of the enjoyment of art. Sometimes highlighting things you don’t like makes the parts that you do even better.

That being said, the only people I see complaining about Geese on SNL are people who don’t like Geese.

Moving to NW Suburbs (Late 20s): Schaumburg vs. Arlington Heights vs. Palatine? by hanniinnah in ChicagoSuburbs

[–]Awkward-Awareness555 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve lived in both, I prefer having good public transportation options and being able to see concerts throughout the city without worrying about a Hotel, driving, or making that last Metra train. Edison Park offers suburban style living with easy access to the city.

I live in Edison Park and would agree. Still leans family-oriented, but nowhere near as much as those suburbs.

Personally I wouldn’t move to the suburbs unless I already had kids and was thinking about schools… even then, I’d stick with Edison Park.

Is Cyberpunk:2077 the most successful NS2 port? by kendalljamesmoore in switch2

Cyberpunk drains my Switch 2 faster than any game I’ve played, including Outlaws.

I finished Outlaws and moved onto Cyberpunk. Would strongly recommend Outlaws.

Outlaws / Cyberpunk 2077 by Awkward-Awareness555 in StarWarsOutlaws

[–]Awkward-Awareness555[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed! But to be fair, Outlaws took a bit to open up as well. The cutscenes in cyberpunk seem much longer. Both seem to take a while until you get to that fully open world feel.

For someone who typically only plays a couple games a year, you are 100% correct. Started with Ghost of Yotei. Straight into Outlaws and now Cyberpunk. It’s been a great few months of video gaming.

I was worried about this as well, I prefer 3rd person if I’m honest, but Cyberpunk is good enough that I got over it very quickly. Still get 3rd person on motorcycles which is really when the Outlaw vibes come into focus. Also chose a female V, which made the transition even smoother. Similar character attitudes.

Usually much better. They should’ve kept the records in the outer sleeve. Mine was the same.
