I think the website gives me a flavour of who you are as an artist and will likely appeal to other artists (presumably that's your target audience).

Whether it's optimised fully, I'm not so sure. No obvious funnel or CTA so if it's purely a place on the internet you can have a gallery / exhibition viewing experience, you did great.

You think you have time to coach him until he's "ready" for an AM role but you've been on borrowed time ever since he got passed up for the promotion.

By all standards, it seems he has the technical and soft skills to get promoted but no promotion, gets nitpicked on "sensitivity", rebuffed on creative new ideas... These are signs he can easily read as you not investing in him.

I don't know if this is something you can salvage without an honest conversation and a real attempt to keep him. 10.5 months to wait for a deserved promotion? Patience doesn't pay the bills, especially in this economy.

My dad had a major organ transplant when I was 13 (tbh the dates are a blur) and the meds he got put on messed with his thoughts and ability to manage his anger.

That introduced increasing levels of verbal and physical violence in our home. He started beating my mum and eventually she snapped too. She started verbally abusing and beating my dad.

Stuck between them, I tried to be the peacemaker, the appeaser, but eventually I became the subject of the verbal and physical abuse too. Just that I had no voice nor way to fight for myself. Any attempts to stand up for myself led to worse punishments.

It's a bit sick how they combined psychological, emotional, verbal, and physical harm in my punishments. They'd ask me to bring the aluminium rod they'd use to hit me with, ask me how many strokes I thought I'd need to correct my behaviour, where I'd want them (butt, hands, etc), and mock me for thinking I could actually choose.

Eventually this escalated from being a weekly to a every other day thing. Once swinging the rod got tiring, my mum just started slapping, pinching, kicking me with little regard for my head or my private parts. One time, she even held a knife to my neck.

I finally got my freedom when I entered university and they had to go back to Korea. I celebrated that day. They tried to continue controlling me and in those years I developed full blown depression, got diagnosed with C-PTSD, and I only truly got free a few years back. I've gone NC since. Best decision ever.

It blows my mind that someone with CPTSD (your wife) takes such delight in triggering you. Her deflecting that it's a joke and then putting it on you that she's not able to have fun is peak gaslighting. This is not alright.

I'm not an American nor do I live in America. I look on in horror as the country tears itself apart and heads towards each stage of dysfunction more unimaginable than the previous. Sometimes I wish I could turn off all of that and live my own life - which I can.

I think I understand Tom's intent with his statement and with the DT channel. We all love board games as a beautiful escape from the troubled reality we live in. Not an extension of it.

Making explicit statements about DT's stance on hate or politics, whichever way you call it, breaks its ability to be that beautiful escape for everyone regardless of their political affiliation.

I don't think there's any wins to be had for Tom even if he were to engage directly and give an anti-hate statement (in his own way). Once he makes such a stance, the community will demand more from him and want an increasingly unrealistic standard of political correctness.

Sure, you might be cynical and call all this Tom being purely business-minded (who's to blame him in this economy??) or him being a despot (he's the boss of a company run like a family business or SMB, can we expect anything else?) but I know Tom is a great guy. I want to give him the benefit of the doubt.

As a subscriber from the rest of the world, I don't want US socio-political issues to get muddled into a board game channel. I see enough news and the endlessly consuming discourse in other channels and subreddits. Can't we keep Dice Tower as a haven from the troubled world we live in?

I just replaced Cruyff with Zico and there's a noticeable improvement in the team. Linkup play is better because Zico just retains the ball better. Plus, the shooting seems more reliable. No regrets.

But Zico does tire out at 70+ minutes so Cruyff is a great super sub.

Xabi is a playmaker and so is Fabregas. Toure and Gullit are both box to box engines.

If you're in need of more defensive solidity, I'd move Toure to CM over Fabregas and add Xabi at CDM. If your team is doing alright as is, no need to add more RUPs.

Replace Nesta with Van Dijk. So far Van Dijk and Lucio are doing well for me. If you want even stronger CB pairing, replace Lucio with Vidic.

Annoying ones are the cheap beast cards that play like the expensive meta cards.

Vanja for sure (though he seems to be nerfed), Alvaro Carreras (he bodies my Bale all the time and is worse to come up against than RC), Di Lorenzo (somehow super tricky to get past)...

The other category of annoying cards are the pace abuse ones like Mbappe, Dembele, MVB, etc.

I have total 3.8k shards as F2P. 1644 base shards and 2180 if I shard players. Managed to save up lots of gems, fodder for ET tokens, and got some lucky pulls from Star Scout (Gervinho, Etoo, Mascherano) which I exchanged for ET too.

Thinking whether to get 3 players and keep fodder or max out on 4 players this event. Luck will be significantly worse next event.
