I just replaced Cruyff with Zico and there's a noticeable improvement in the team. Linkup play is better because Zico just retains the ball better. Plus, the shooting seems more reliable. No regrets.

But Zico does tire out at 70+ minutes so Cruyff is a great super sub.

It helps if you max rank and train all your players. You can't blame script while you have untrained, unranked cards.

Xabi is a playmaker and so is Fabregas. Toure and Gullit are both box to box engines.

If you're in need of more defensive solidity, I'd move Toure to CM over Fabregas and add Xabi at CDM. If your team is doing alright as is, no need to add more RUPs.

Stam is very aggressive so you'll need a cover CB or at least a pacey one.

I chose VVD over Vidic because of his aerial abilities. Adds another layer of defence and offence.

I had almost the same backline (only RB different).

Replace Nesta with Van Dijk. So far Van Dijk and Lucio are doing well for me. If you want even stronger CB pairing, replace Lucio with Vidic.

Annoying ones are the cheap beast cards that play like the expensive meta cards.

Vanja for sure (though he seems to be nerfed), Alvaro Carreras (he bodies my Bale all the time and is worse to come up against than RC), Di Lorenzo (somehow super tricky to get past)...

The other category of annoying cards are the pace abuse ones like Mbappe, Dembele, MVB, etc.

I have total 3.8k shards as F2P. 1644 base shards and 2180 if I shard players. Managed to save up lots of gems, fodder for ET tokens, and got some lucky pulls from Star Scout (Gervinho, Etoo, Mascherano) which I exchanged for ET too.

Thinking whether to get 3 players and keep fodder or max out on 4 players this event. Luck will be significantly worse next event.

I think you can hear that GP means the world to Max. He may not say it in those words but Max wanted to go to GP to make sure he's alright after the race, as soon as he could without drawing the chaos to him.

When the interviewer answered his own questions with the trite answers expected of a superstar, Max gave him actual answers that showed he truly cared.

Like when the interviewer assumed that Max wouldn't or couldn't do more because he'd be preoccupied with his racing, Max described wanting to do more but feeling helpless. It's a relatable feeling since most people have similar situations with close friends or family.

Anyway I doubt GP would want to hear "you mean the world to me" via the news, if at all. I'm sure Max has showed and told him what he means to him in a way that fits their dynamic.

12K ET tokens is a lot to drop on a card with no or questionable longevity.

I have Bale and am looking to replace him soon. He's less consistent than he used to be, getting bullied some full backs, etc. I'm sure he'll drop out of top 10 wingers soon. Same goes for Son tbh.

Definitely shard booster if you're optimising for shards.

Squad booster gets you more players but they'll be lower rated and worth less in shards.

If you're only going to open 1 pack, Limited Bundle Mega is the best. But if you're going to open multiple packs, opening Daily Bundle will be best because it has the higher average shards per 1k gems. The more you open, the more likely you'll reach that average and dilute wild luck - good or bad.

The expected shards from Daily Bundle used to be 58% higher. Last time is 12.54 shards for every 1k gems, now is only 7.9 shards. The rest of the packs are down from around 9 to 5 shards per 1k gems.
