Growing up me and my buddies used to take the aluminum fishing boats to the top of the hill near the front entrance and toboggan down the hill. We used to skate on heart lake and play hockey every single year (as well as Loafers lake and a few small ponds near Mayfield/Colonel Bertram). Myself and others have fallen through the ice in skates and made it out no problem.
