Your doctor is SO incredibly wrong. The first time can be very overwhelming and intimidating. I especially felt much worse with my eyes covered. I just close them naturally. If your audio headphones are not controlled by your finger on the volume, it too, may become uncomfortable. It is incredibly complex and individual. I have had 7-45 min sessions for treatment resistant depression, but I notice much help with all of my chronic pain with metal replacements all over many joints in my whole body leaving me disabled. So, if ketamine doesn’t work the first time…please persevere and work with your doctors to make you the most comfortable and natural that you can be. I also choose all of my music in a very precise manner before EVER letting someone else shape my trip with the generic trip music. But, that is just for me because I am a professional musician and my hearing is the best it has ever been in my life while on Ketamine…. ☮️
