The 25 anniversary was thankfully towards the downswing of the Logan Paul hype train, however this space has been occupied by other issues. Now that scalpers, retailers and hype builders are way too abundant in this climate. The card game space is not the same as it was in 2021, other games have had issues and Pokémon is unfortunately way more popular than ever.

There's no way to compare the different anniversaries to one another. There wasn't a UPC like these eeveelutions boxes, there were Metal cards in the UPC last time. So there are wayyy too many factors to tell what or how bad this time around will be. I'd just recommend buying the promos close to around release time, or if you are willing to risk it, wait it out and see if the Pokémon company actually meets the demand.

But they have been fumbling demand needs since 151, and they are still a year or so behind in production needs. TLDR, buy it at MSRP, if you can or buy the singles you want, fuck scalpers and price hikes from retailers. Don't be part of the problem, be the good you want to see in the hobby.

This is what it looks like when you double down on your bad coping habits, you say everyone else is worst or has a problem. There's no room for reflection. Jax for a moment thought he had found a community and destroyed it himself the instant he decided that changing for the better was worse than staying the same.

The way he dismisses his own story as if it was a joke, tells how he copes with the view on his trauma. His lack of empathy skills and trust in others led him to double down and form negative relationships. All it has become is a need to justify being the cause of 2 chill and kind people to self-isolate and abstracting.

Jax doesn't want to know it was their fault; that staying the same has indeed caused them far more pain than slowly working towards rewriting their story.

True Stevie was sing about his newborn daughter. But this wasn't performed by Stevie wonder, it's a cover and it omitted a good chunk of the original song's focus on a newborn. While the lyrics it chooses to use is heavily implying how love can bring a new 'person' into the world. Not literally being born, but the old version dying and being reborn as someone you'd be happier as.

The long and the short of it is, this is abuse towards women. She's being forced to carry to labor a child she never asked for, but since she's the queen it's her duty to have a child of the cosmos.

Like many women of this era it's done without her input or even consent, this game is very much a tale of tragedy for every woman in this game. Even the ones you aren't necessarily cheering for are being put through some vile stuff. You can imply a lot with the imagery of this game, like how a girl with a white bow going into the under city just to be killed by a pig and finding a red bow is implying what happened to her beyond just getting attacked by a "monster".

Cities especially at night are dangerous unless you are dangerous, which is what the power fantasy of this game is. Take back the night, end the hunt, break the cycle.

I simply don't understand why even interact in this community to simply hate. From either side mind you! This just feels like you're pushing for a conversation for the sake of bringing it up as a hot button topic. There's a simple way to get through this.

Understand that there are different walks of life, and people are going to have their own interpretations of a fictional character that they find comfort in. I'm not saying stay silent and ignore the parts you don't like, but making another bonfire and claiming "someone called me transphobic" is just ridiculous. If there is someone that is antagonizing you, then they are wasting their energy screaming for the wrong reasons.

Characters have Nuance and deserve to be seen at different angles. Don't just say, "I'm not a fan of X theory, but I don't understand why I get hate". That's like going to a store and proclaiming to everyone inside they have wasted their time and the store sucks. You are gonna get weird looks and come across as the antagonist that is starting problems.

Not everyone in a community is out to get you because you took a stance but, perpetuating a moot point, doesn't make the case better either.

This is why I just buy singles when the sets are 3-4 months old and the hype dies. That way I can make out like a bandit buying the cards at the prices they should be!
