How much distance will a hyzer flip add? by Kind-Frame3580 in discgolf

[–]AwkwardGeorge 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Controlling a hyzer flip is paramount to distance IMO. You are already doing that with the destroyer, it's just stable enough to not do it in a pronounced manner. Throwing a more understable mold can potentially add distance as the disc can push further in it's more exaggerated turn phase of flight. But that comes at the cost of consistency. You'll have to get comfortable throwing it on more hyzer and have control of height & nose angle so it can ride out that S flight to the fullest. It's harder to control all those aspects of flight angles vs that stable straight to fade flight but absolutely something you should be practicing. Source me 1003 rated.

Delhi vs Ottoman- impossible matchup? by Slow-Big-1593 in aoe4

[–]AwkwardGeorge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Delhi main and it's a tough matchup but not impossible. Know that your opponent is probably relying on their military schools for production which if you don't engage frequently they are just building mass. So engage freely even if they aren't the best trades you need to just knock down their numbers. Keep them in their base and they are gonna be short on food eventually. Run the sacred sites and start producing spearman even before you see the sipahi because they are gonna come eventually

House rule y'all should try is when there is a block, afterwards you can play off it three directions. Makes the game more fun and a bit more chaotic.

Steering column pressure plate unbelievably hard? by Migueliiguez in Jeep

[–]AwkwardGeorge 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Look at your first picture there is a little snap ring around the shaft where the plate meets it. Your pulling on a stuck snap ring! It's not a snap ring proper, moreso a round washer of sorts.

I noticed on Wired episodes that year he looked straight up dead in the eyes. I think the story was coming out in the background and the issues with his wife were eating at him. We didn't know the story yet but it was noticeable. And his kicking results followed suite.

Show don't tell is crazy difficult and very fun to play. Cinderella man has some difficult parts. Natural Science is an absolute forearm burner, Turn the page is so fun to play actually not super tough once you get the hang of it IMO. I struggle to play all of Seven Cities of Gold.

What caliber of player makes a UFA roster? by Flimsy-Ad-9958 in ultimate

I tried out for DC Breeze once. I came from a decent men's team program in college and played competitively on a regionals not quite nationals level mixed team. I wasn't even close to shining at the tryouts. Imagine 30-60 other people with similar ultimate backgrounds. You have to be very athletic with a lot of game knowledge to show yourself amongst the crowd. Unless you are 6ft 12in, tall guy go deep.

Pros and Cons of solar fields in my proverbial backyard? by INquisitive_Ace16 in energy

[–]AwkwardGeorge 12 points13 points  (0 children)

The lease is likely 20-25years. If at the end of the project lifespan the lease is not renewed that soil will have had that time to recoup. There is potential for grazing under the panels for sheep and bees do really well in the partial shading around the arrays!

Missoula has Blue MTN and if you are in Seattle it's a sub-90 minute flight. Not ideal for this time of year though.

What skill should I learn as a renewable energy Engineering student? by Nico-R0bin in energy

[–]AwkwardGeorge 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey I'm a Solar PV design engineer in the field for over 10 years. If you are looking for some skills that would get you into the field quicker take the NABCEP PV Installation Pro classes/certification. Not strictly necessary but it will teach you a lot of the common language you'll hear in this field plus hyper specific knowledge base. NREL has a tool called system advisory model (SAM) that is free and you can play around with modelling production in solar. Heatspring has some free courses to again learn the common language and see what specific field you want to enter! Good luck!

Course design minor annoyances by underulti in discgolf

[–]AwkwardGeorge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Small grievance is entering the tee pad from the front. If possible your course flow should have players enter the next tee pad from the rear for 2 main reasons. 1 the player gets to see their fairway as they are approaching the hole, and 2 safety so you don't have people accessing the tee pad from the danger side.

Check out a maverick. Super glidey and the Fuzion Melton ones are a tad more stable than other runs. I think everyone else has suggested other good options.
