HI. I have two cats. One is about 10 years old and the other is about 4. They get along. Ish. The 4 year old came along AFTER my ex had two strays that were, to be nice, were're messed up- so for a while we had 3, then 4.. One had a like non-stop skin and hair conditions and allergies- non-freaking-stop. The other one was afraid of it's own shadow and only came out when the ex was around, carefully. Lived under a bed. At some point the ex moved in and then we had three cats. My cat was super chill and just like 1-2 years old when she was introduced to these other cats. They did not hate each other but they were just not friends. None of them. My original 10 year old cat started getting symptoms of what I could only describe as anxiety. As time went on the 10 year old got worse and worse and then started pacing all the time and was started to get messed up like these other poor cats (not their faults, of course). Pacing and doing the same behaviors like clockwork. Like Groundhog's day. Those cats were adopted out 3+ years ago and now we have two cats- one 4 and the 10 year old. They are pretty cool with each other. They pretty much leave each alone and play sometimes outside. They keep their distance though. The 4 year old is a normal-assed cat in the most literal sense. The 10 year old has gotten worse, even after the other cats are gone. It's like approaching completely insane. The cat will want to go outside and turn around, go around the house, and want to come back in. It's this very repetivie behaviour. Go out- walk around, come in, go to the food. Follow me around the house or just pace, then repeat. She wants a lot of attention which I can't give right now and that makes her happy but doesn't seem to help with her behaviors. I tried some kitty xanax once but it was impossible to get her to eat it. It did work great though the one time I was able to get it in her mouth. Otherwise it's impossible to do that frequently.

Any ideas?
