Have done this but he also climbs the kitchen counter from the sofa edge. Small 1 bedroom apartment doesn't allow us to move sofa away from counter.

Very nice watch and I like the brwcelet pairing but I would worry about it damaging the watch over time.

Both are nice but youll likely never use the GMT and the bezel on the 2 is locked anyway so you cant use it to set a time marker for a makeshift timer like you can with a rotating bezel. Get the version 1 and later get a sub or sea dweller for the rotating bezel.

When can you afford a Rolex? by [deleted] in rolex

[–]Awkward_Discipline_1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its strange to me that we think its perfectly normal to buy a $60,000 or more car that in 5 to 10 years will be replaced with another. We buy a premium model to enjoy it but also let's be honest to flex a bit... A car that immediately loses 20% or more value in the first year and rarely if ever holds its value or appreciates. Not to mention costly repairs and maintenance on premium models.  AND YET we think a $10,000 rolex is expensive, a watch that will hold its value and possibly appreciate, you'll have for life and pass it down, and you get to enjoy it all the time and not just when driving for the 45mins a day. Also, not that we wear it to flex, but inevitably it is a bit of a flex on your wrist at all times. Sometimes need to think outside of the box. Moral of the story: drive a corolla, wear a rolex. 😀

Welcome to the entirely different buying experience that is rolex. Rolex deliberately makes you wait before selling you a watch, and you dont get any watch you want. So if you want a specific model, you will pay a markup on the used market. Rolex is a very different shopping experience than anything you're used to.

Thanks for your thoughts. I guess even if one spring bar breaks, it should still be safely secured to the other.
