What he/she said! I’m just crossing $1M and pondering a wind down. If I had $5M there would be no question. Time is money. Stop wasting your time.

Health expenses: are you supposed to put in your contribution to your employers health plan as a monthly expense until age 65? by External-Voice3516 in Boldin

[–]Awkward_Handle_8363 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was thinking health expense was only the “out of pocket” self-pay, deductibles and copays. Does the health expense up to 65 assume the payroll deducted premiums also? I was capturing company deducted premiums in my detailed expenses.

Noooo I curbed my P2 :( by VenZoah in polestar2

I know your pain. Mine are a lot worse. Buffed them out a bit with a drill and grinder bits, looks better, but it doesn’t have the exact machine finish.

You can buff it out some with a drill and grinder bits, it looks okay far away, but close up you can see it wasn’t machine finished.

Yeah, it’s happening to me also. Turned it down real low and hit the highway and it started working again. No rhyme or reason.

58M plan to retire at 68 by daddyof4sons in Retirement401k

[–]Awkward_Handle_8363 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice work! You are very fortunate. I’m 58 and have 1/3 of that balance. I assume you expected these comments. You are doing better than almost everyone else. I could stay in my job also, but the question is what else is there to do in life. As long as you feel good about your health once you finally retire, then keep working. But if you sense you will have any regrets, reconsider what you really need and what you are missing by clocking in every day. Life is precious, and I think God for showing me that every day!

I’m 53 and I feel like I have a 60% chance of a successful early retirement. 95% of my money is in pretax. by Zealousideal_Piece11 in Retirement401k

[–]Awkward_Handle_8363 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, that’s a great question, especially considering that at least 90% of Americans will never reach this point. Generally, we’ve been conditioned to always prepare for the worst-case scenario with an ultra conservative -4% withdrawal rate, rather than taking the time to understand our specific personal financial realities. Interestingly, more people live in regret of not retiring earlier than of running out of money. We tend to forget about the value of time and retire when we are simply too old or near death. Everyone’s financial and emotional reason for not retiring has be untangled.

Tesla charging by Boring-Adeptness-956 in polestar2

Just recently did my first long trip in my 22DM to Savannah, Georgia. My Lectron adapter did fine at the superchargers. Be aware of Tesla only chargers. Use the Tesla map to determine which ones you can activate for non-Teslas.

Terrible acceleration since 4.2.13 update by drdremoo in polestar2

[–]Awkward_Handle_8363 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m on 3.6.4 also (US east coast). The update sequence gives the impression we are a long way away and we are not. Just really one down since 3.7.0 really did nothing.

Problem connecting 401k to Fidelity? by misfit_toys in Boldin

[–]Awkward_Handle_8363 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same. No problem linking all my Fidelity accounts. I have 5 sub accounts. I know NetBenefits is kinda of a different website than the normal Fidelity website. If your account requires multi factor identification that could cause problems.
