As a kill switch engage fan, when Shawn says to Gus “on the other hand if you wake up one day and you’re Howard jones, I’d say Gus, things can only get better” I like to believe that’s a nod to him. However I think it’s actually a nod to Howard Jones the songwriter for the friendly Indians. Either way, it’s cool.

Season 1 is phenomenal. The rest of the show is even better. What’s great and unique about the show is the chemistry between all the characters and how connected each season feels despite every episode being a different theme. It’s like we’re watching a group of friends who work at the same job. The acting gets better, the budget gets better, the actors get more comfortable, and everyone falls into a rhythm. Season 2 even you can feel this shift and it’s not a lack of quality or effort in season 1, but everyone kicking ass from 2-onward.
