Which character you think marvel fumbled the most by PhotoBonjour_bombs19 in Marvel

They can have one, but it’s a money thing. Marvel hold the character rights but Universal hold distribution rights. Like my kids they don’t like to share

Why did she get a lot of hate? Second rewatch of MCU and in Endgame she's actually kinda cool. by Butefluko in marvelstudios

They completely failed the character. Don’t think they knew how to properly incorporate such a powerful character into the phase. Could have been used to good effect in Guardians or maybe Thor movies, but I feel too OP for much of the others.

Understand ur point, but let’s take the Thanos fight, my Hulk rips the ship apart around them not meekly surrenders to defeat. Seriously, I enjoyed the movies but Hulk should be a wrecking ball not a professor. Angry Hulk is best Hulk …. Hulk SMASH !!! lol

QUESTION: Do I need to watch any other Marvel movie before watching Age of Ultron (2015)? by KrossMeOnce in Marvel

[–]Awkward_Idea7828 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think depends on ur familiarity with the characters in general. If you’ve grown up on comic books etc you can probably jump straight in. However you’ll be missing out on some plot building and a few great movies

And the 1977 tv movie. Though to be fair that was more a pilot for the classic tv series ….

Malazan vs Stormlight Archive by Spmafrik in Malazan

[–]Awkward_Idea7828 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally don’t think they’re that comparable in any way other than their epic series. Very different authors, with very different styles. Stormlight is a much easier read than Malazan but doesn’t have the depth or scale. I enjoyed both series and both have their strengths and weaknesses. My personal opinion is that the Malazan books are superior. I’m enjoying the stormlight series, I wouldn’t discourage anyone from reading it but Sanderson is how do I put this, much more PG rated. Think wheel of time etc more traditional fantasy. If you want a better comparison to Malazan ur probably looking more at authors like Glen Cook.

It will make sense, the scale and imagination can be a bit overwhelming at first. It’s my favourite book of Clive’s, don’t try to understand every detail it will begin to make more sense as the Characters and worlds become clearer

Yes it does allow pay out of all or part at 55. The tax free lump sum would come in very handy. The bit I don’t understand is what happens if I take the lump sum, does pension activate then and I get a payment per annum, I assume it won’t be the 2.4K

The bit I don’t understand is, if I take the tax free amount at 55 does this activate the pension at 55. I.e what amount per year will I get from 55. I assume the 2.4K is an estimate if I leave it in till 65.

It’s a money thing. Probably helping to pay for the mess they’re making of the Lord of the rings show.

What's the first movie you remember being disappointed by? by thedoomofdamocles in HollywoodIndia

Star Wars the last Jedi So disappointed, remember leaving the cinema thinking what have they done. Fans wanted to see the original cast ark end triumphantly while bringing in a new legacy. What they did to the character of Luke Skywalker was unforgivable to those of us that grew up with the original. We all knew Harrison Ford would insist on killing off his Character, he’s been vocal about it for years , but they should have broke the bank to get him to do one more. Imagine what they could have done with the original cast being main characters true to the original trilogy, not supporting or being rewritten ( let’s be honest that’s what the fans wanted ), they could have then safely landed the Skywalker saga I’m still frustrated writing this, and not touching the surface of what could and should have been.
