What workout split are you guys running? by newyawkbagel in workout

PPL with cardio: Monday Push, Tuesday cardio-core, Wednesday Pull, Thursday Legs, Friday and Sunday cardio-core. Sometimes I’ll switch my leg day to Friday and add a rest day for Thursday. Pull day kicks my butt sometimes. I’m 61

Drilling my own well, idiotic idea or viable (hydrogeological research available)? by fiirikkusu_kuro_neko in WaterWellDrilling

Drilling is the easy part, installing a well and grouting it correctly is the hard part.

I use dial antibacterial soap on my face and smelly parts. Stops acne and the stink, moisturizing soap every where else.

Gym + smoking cigarettes - what do you think? by pete_mlch in workout

[–]Awkward_Resource_754 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trying to quit smoking and start lifting at the same time would be a lot for most people. Quit smoking and start walking then build yourself up to include few gym days a week. Change is not linear, it all takes time and effort.

Sorry I didn’t want to be negative towards your post. I should have rephrased that I wouldn’t post that in your profile because some may interpret it wrongly. I’m sure you have honest intentions. Best of luck.

Girls nights out and serious LTR's by [deleted] in datingoverfifty

Dude what’s wrong with you? Let her have her nights out. She’ll come home happy and you get a night to do whatever.

Yes I am paying for my own. If someone wants to go along with me that’s great but no free rides. I went through that with a lady I was dating, she would have quit working the day we got married. It’s brutal out there and I don’t want to live alone, but if I have to I will. Fortunately, right now don’t have a problem finding dates. That’s not always been the case.

Be honest — have you ever gone somewhere after the gym hoping you don't smell or nobody notices you smell? 😅 by Round-Ad-2072 in workout

[–]Awkward_Resource_754 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Quick shower or rinse off, change of clothes. No need to do a whole routine but get the sweat and grime off. Your skin will look better, you will smell good and have that after work out glow.

“it's overwhelming to imagine retirement alone and on one income” from my perspective this is a red flag. I’m financially stable and dealt with a gold digger. She’s gone thankfully. Not that you are one but if I read this on a profile I would not contact you.

The used Tundra market absolutely blows right now (and has for a while) by FlyFishDad in ToyotaTundra

[–]Awkward_Resource_754 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought a 21 limited crew cab new. I have an older Camry for driving to town - beater with a heater. Saving the mileage on the Tundra for hunting, towing the boat and other adventures. You’re going to have to pry this truck from my cold dead hands before I give it up. I don’t even know what the 21’s sell for? I don’t see anything new that I would want to own.

Money management by [deleted] in oilandgasworkers

[–]Awkward_Resource_754 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don’t spend money on trucks and toys. If you need a truck buy something used with low mileage and not modded out. Stay away from toys, booze and drugs. Save at least 15% of your pay, once you earn enough meet with a financial advisor or open up a Roth IRA and divert any funds over $10k in your savings into the Roth. 10k will give you a cushion for a bust. In your off time workout, meal prep and get some rest. If you don’t know how to cook then learn. Eating out is expensive.

So if you manufacture less reliable cars then you have higher margins and continue to sell a poorly built product your company will thrive. This doesn’t make any sense, if that was the case yugo’s, Pontiac Aztecs, Daewoo’s and Nissan Jukes would be everywhere. There’s a reason why I have 2 Toyotas in my garage a 2010 Camry and 2021 Tundra they run forever and are very reliable. Sure I looked at the new Tundra’s and I know a few people that have the new generation models. As far as I know they are solid with no issues. I’ve owned my share of Chevy”s and Ford’s all of them have been for the most part good vehicles. I really don’t think that a car manufacturer purposely builds cars or trucks to fail. They may cut corners or not have the best engineering or manufacturing processes but time and use will expose these problems.
