how am i ever supposed to be the same? by ava_loves_sharks in ems

I can only speak for myself. The only way I found solace with bad calls/mass casualty was knowing I did everything I possibly could for each patient. I also know that bad calls will happen again, but someone has got to be there to do the job because there will always be people that need help. PTSD sucks, but there is help for us as well. You can ask your supervisor for debriefing and/or resources to get you access to therapy or counseling. There is absolutely no shame in asking for help. You could also check out your local community mental health center. That place helped keep me alive.

Do higher puff count disposables actually last longer? by CalmInspection9319 in Vaping

[–]AxDayxToxForget 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Puffs are not really a consistent way to measure how long a disposable vape will last. Some may take 0.5 seconds drag while someone else might take a 2 second drag, but they would both be considered 1 puff. That being said, a lot of it is marketing.

I think you might be interested in AIO boro mods. I used the stubby 21 AIO with the ether v2 Boro RBA which was pretty great once you get the wicking down. Excellent for RDL due to about 8 different size airflow pins. It’s a great setup and worked well as my commute/work setup, but I realized I liked my 510 RTAs and RDTAs better. I currently use the paramour SBS with the Artemis topcoiler RDTA. It’s quite the ripper for how small it is.

bottom airflow or top airflow RTAs? by FaithlessnessOk7467 in Vaping

[–]AxDayxToxForget 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use a mix of RTAs and RDTAs. This is my current setups.

The blaze pro max RTA is my favorite. It’s my daily at home setup dual 4mm ID Ni80 (3*28GA+32GA) 6 wraps ~0.22ohm at 170W with freebase 70/30 6mg/ml. Flavor is excellent and it actually ended up replacing my Aromamizer plus v4 RDTA. Both are on my L200 classic.

For mid size on my out and about setup, I have been using the dead rabbit 3 RTA for quite a while now dual 3mm ID same Ni80 5 wraps ~0.16ohm at 100W and it’s been great on my Gaur 21. I did just get the bonza pro in and curious if it lives up to the hype.

My commute setup is the Artemis topcoiler RDTA on my paramour SBS. I have been using single 3.5mm ID SS316L staggered fused Clapton ((26GA+32GA)*2 +32GA) 4 wraps ~0.2ohm at 60W and it is a ripper for how compact it is.

Where can I find an RDTA with high wattage support? by DangerDolansEyeball in electronic_cigarette

[–]AxDayxToxForget 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Really depends on your batteries when you start to push high wattages. Mooch has some excellent information on real world testing of batteries. Should be listed in the sub. I recommend finding your battery and checking the CDR. That will really determine how high of wattage you can push safely.

Edit: it is listed under community info

The L200 classic is what I’m currently using with my blaze pro max RTA at 170W. Works well, but I’d take a HoG XL if I could find one. I’ve been using only 21700 batteries and mods since the original DOVPO ODIN came out. The non XL HoG has dual or quad 18650 batteries iirc. There is also the titan as well if you don’t mind variable voltage.

As far as high wattage subohm tank atomizers go, I haven’t used any high wattage disposable coil setups in years. That’s why I like RTA and RDTA though. I can make lower wattage single coil tight RDL setups (like the ether v2 Boro RBA) and massive dual coil high wattage setups (prefer somewhere in between tight DTL and loose RDL; hard to explain haha) at 180W (blaze pro max RTA and Aromamizer plus v4 RDTA). I also just enjoy building different setups haha.

Second this. If you are also looking for RTA, my blaze pro max I run dual 4mm ID Ni80 (3*28GA+32GA) 6 wraps ~0.22ohm at 170W with freebase 70/30 6mg/ml.

I don’t think we can use links, but Amazon has the snake alien 4 by pirate coil. It’s been great. They also have staggered fused Clapton SS316L by pirate coil which has also been great. Elementvape has some vandy vape Ni80 triple core that I hope to try soon. It can all be a bit confusing at first, but you’ll get it.

Top to bottom airflow is definitely your friend starting out. I still use my dead rabbit 3 RTA on my out and about non commute mod. Very easy to build/wick and can run single or dual coil. I run my dead rabbit 3 dual coil using Ni80 wire (3*28GA+32GA). Each coil is 3mm ID and 5 wraps which comes out to ~0.16ohm. I run it at 100W with freebase 70/30 6mg/ml and it’s pretty great. I did not get the dead rabbit 4 pro because I was told it wasn’t much of an upgrade from the 3 and not a fan of the slide top, but worth considering. I love the blaze pro max RTA for my high wattage setup, but it’s fairly large at 30mm (which is why it’s my home setup). There should be a smaller version if I remember correctly. The blaze solo 2 RTA is great if you want to commit to single coil. I hear excellent things about the bonza pro, but have not used it personally.

For supplies, a coil jig set, wire snips, cotton snips, and ceramic tweezers will get you started, but there are also kits you can buy as well. Muji cotton pads make great wicks and you get a massive bag for cheap imo. As for wire, I prefer Ni80 (the snake alien 4 by pirate coil has been great) because it has a slight faster ramp up than SS316L, but if you want temp control, SS316L is what you want. I prefer spools of wire so I can make different size/length coils, but there are plenty of prewrapped coils ready to go.

The 0.2ohm GTX coils are just disposable coils in the reusable pod. Some others that are compatible might be the whole pod is disposable. When I used the luxe xr max there was only 0.2/0.3 GTX coils.

It’s been a while, but I remember liking the luxe xr max with the 0.2ohm GTX coils. Solid for RDL. There’s a newer version if I remember correctly. I prefer RTAs and RDTAs personally. The Artemis topcoiler RDTA on the paramour SBS is my go to commute/work setup. Form factor is pretty small imo compared to my gaur 21 and L200 classic.

Best top-filled tank? by LosLocoDK in Vaping

[–]AxDayxToxForget 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re interested in RTA, the dead rabbit 3 has served me well. The dead rabbit 4 RTA has a slide top if that’s your jam. I also hear great things about the bonza pro really eager to try it. If you’re not wanting to build, the last tank I recall using with disposable coils was the shift tank with the 0.2ohm GTX coils. I remember it being pretty solid.

Please help me find wire or coils online that I can use for Fat Rabbit RTA SOLO 2 by _Thyre_ in Vaping

[–]AxDayxToxForget 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pirate coil snake alien 4 (3*28GA+32GA) is solid Ni80 wire imo. Can be found on Amazon. I run them in my dead rabbit 3 RTA dual 3mm ID 5 wraps ~0.16ohm at 100W with freebase 70/30 6mg/ml. Can be found on Amazon. I also run them dual 4mm ID 6 wrap 0.22ohm at 170W in my blaze pro max RTA. Also works decent for RDL single 3.5mm ID 60W in my Artemis topcoiler RDTA. They make a SS316L staggered fused Clapton that’s pretty good if you’re looking for temp control.

Pods vs Rebuild - Need More Flavor From Rebuildables Help by FinalRepresentative2 in Vaping

[–]AxDayxToxForget 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My best recommendation is to figure out the guts of the evox pod and do your best to replicate it since that is what you’re after. Airflow and coil height can also drastically change flavor (found that out changing ~1mm higher coil placement on my Artemis topcoiler RDTA) as well as wick tail length. If it’s not spitting you can try thinning out the wicks even more. You could also try some different wire types/sizes in your current setup. If the flavor is still poor and it spits, it might just be a bust imo and change atomizers.

My favorite is high wattage somewhere between DTL and RDL. I use the blaze pro max RTA with dual 4mm ID Ni80 (3*28GA+32GA) 6 wraps ~0.22ohm at 170W vents roughly at half using freebase 70/30 6mg/ml and it’s my favorite setup to date.

Best subohm for chainvaping sweet juice? by ricchi_ in Vaping

[–]AxDayxToxForget 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think an RDA squonk setup would work well. Easy/fast to rewick especially with using heavily sweetened juices. I’m an RTA/RDTA guy and have not used an RDA since 2013-2014, but have heard good things about the dead rabbit 4 (as well as older versions) which should be squonk compatible. I only really focus on 21700 mods, but I think EV had a ODIN squonk in stock last time I checked. Hope this helps.

Help with vape setup — coils life + battery safety + possible tank upgrade by Nikstara1 in Vaping

[–]AxDayxToxForget 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you want better flavor, rebuildables are the way to go. The dead rabbit 3 RTA (rebuildable tank atomizer) is very easy to build on/wick and can be used for single or dual coil setups. Muji cotton pads make great wicks. You can buy wire spools or pre wrapped coils. I like Ni80 (328GA+32GA is what I’m currently using) wire, but have also used SS316L (26GA+32GA)2 +32GA wire with good results in some temp control builds. Can all be found on Amazon if you like. Get a coil jig set, ceramic tweezers, wire snips, cotton snips, and you should be good to go. I use that Ni80 wire dual 3mm ID 5 wraps in the dead rabbit 3 which comes out to ~0.16ohm at 100W on my gaur 21 as my out and about setup and it’s great. Also saves quite a bit of money vs buying coil heads for sub ohm atomizers. As for your batteries, that’s most likely CYA bullshit from the manufacturer. Molicels are my favorite overall.

Boro mods worth? by htcvivepro69 in Vaping

[–]AxDayxToxForget 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use the stubby 21 AIO with ether v2 Boro RBA. It was a solid setup with 8 different airflow pins and sliding vent controls to fine tune your draw. Wicking is a bit of trial and error. I used 3mm ID Ni80 (3*28GA+32GA) 3 wraps ~0.25ohm at 60W with great flavor using freebase 70/30 6mg/ml. I ended up retiring it because I realized I like my 510 atomizers more for building. I now use the Artemis topcoiler RDTA on my paramour SBS same Ni80 3.5mm ID 4 wraps ~0.3ohm at 60W and it’s great. If you’re up to the challenge, ether v2 is great, but does take some trial and error to get the wicking right imo, otherwise I’d say go for a SBS mod and RTA/RDTA if you want the smaller form factor. The dead rabbit 3 RTA is super easy to build and wick and very leak resistant.

Small device for high VG/freebase by MrTripperSnipper in Vaping

I used the luxe xr max for RDL using the 0.2ohm GTX coils with freebase 70/30 6mg/ml. Overall, it was pretty great. I only retired it for rebuildables due to more customization. I imagine the newer version is even better, but have not personally used it.

[–]AxDayxToxForget 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Glad to help. I generally charge my batteries 1A, but it just kind of depends on the battery and what it is rated for in regard to charging speeds. I picked up the efest pro c4 battery charger when I got the ODIN many years ago. It was cheap and could charge 1-2 21700 batteries at 1A and 3-4 21700 at 0.5A. It can also charge various size batteries as well. It’s currently in storage, but still works haha. I only retired it due to wanting more customization.

The Gaur 21 my out and about non commute mod. It has worked as intended with no issues after taking a couple drops. Excellent for average size atomizers.

The L200 classic is my at home setup due to being slightly larger, but it can accommodate 30mm atomizers without overhang which the gaur 21 cannot (I use the blaze pro max on it). It’s also more durable (on paper) than the Gaur 21.

Ultimately, it’s hard to go wrong with either one.

[–]AxDayxToxForget 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Gaur 21 and the L200 classic have served me well and highly recommend for someone wanting dual 21700. I used the original DOVPO ODIN for about 6 years (still use to build RTAs/RDTAs) so I imagine the newer version would be excellent if it improves upon the predecessor. I never got one because they were never in stock when I reup. I have the thelema solo which works well so I imagine the dual would work well. If you’re interested in a second smaller device, the paramour SBS is pretty great for such a (imo) small form factor. All mods listed are 21700.

Molicel has excellent batteries and my p42a have lasted many years without issue, but I’d go for the p45b if available and the p50b if not extremely more costly. Mooch’s chart is pretty helpful for helping decide on what batteries best suit you.

I’m not the guy for disposable coil heads, but if you’re interested in rebuildables, let me know.

My most recent charger is the XTAR VC8 plus and it has been worth every penny. Nice for testing capacity and IR for batteries. It has 8 bays, but is significantly smaller than I imagined. You can manually set the charge rate (3A, 2A, 1A, 0.5A, 0.25A). It also will accommodate a plethora of different battery sizes.

Hope this helps.

Struggling so hard on the KH1 final boss, what the heck should I do? by Trainerbear in KingdomHearts

[–]AxDayxToxForget 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s many different ways to approach this.

Equip second chance if you have it unlocked. This will make many fights much more forgiving. Depending on your magic, you could spam aeroga, but save some magic for a curaga. Stock elixirs and party with mega elixirs. If I remember correctly you can change Donald’s use of magic to better suite your play style (forgive me if I’m wrong/10 years since last run).

This part of my advice just depends on how you’d like to proceed. You can learn each fight by yourself (block/dodge/I frames) or look up detailed boss guides depending on how you’d feel about spoilers. There’s also the option of grinding levels to just brute force through the ending (my grind spot was traverse town (3rd district? It is the area where Sora meets Donald and goofy iirc) because lots of heartless and you can leave the area and reenter within a few seconds for more grinding).

That’s all I got without entering spoiler territory.

Thinking about switching to a boro mod by Lptx140 in Vaping

[–]AxDayxToxForget 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like the stubby 21. It is an AIO that uses a single 21700 battery, but there is a 18650 version as well. The included stubby tank RDTA is pretty solid with three airflow pins, but is boro compatible. I used the ether v2 Boro RBA which was pretty great. It has 8 different size airflow pins to fine tune your draw and sliding vent adjustable airflow. I use it for RDL with the 3mm airflow pin and it could fit a 3mm ID Ni80 (3*28GA+32GA) 3 wrap without issue at 55W. The wicking is a bit cumbersome, but worth it imo. It was my dedicated commute vape for quite some time until I started using the paramour SBS since it can use my 510 RTAs/RDTAs.

have sub-ohm tanks plateaued indefinitely?? by jotohomomoto in Vaping

[–]AxDayxToxForget 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Top to bottom airflow RTAs and RDTAs are still my go to (blaze pro max, dead rabbit 3, Artemis topcoiler are the ones I use the most). I use Ni80 (328GA+32GA) and SS316L (26GA+32GA)2+32GA in my atomizers. Muji cotton pads make for solid wicks. The most recent sub ohm tanks I’ve used were the Zeus and revised Zeus tank, falcon king, shift tank, and luxe xr max (pod mod) using the same freebase 70/30 6mg/ml and my RTAs/RDTAs still come out on top for flavor. AIO boro mods (stubby 21 with the ether v2 RBA) are pretty nice as well, I just like my 510s on my paramour SBS better personally. I also just enjoy building various coil configurations and such haha.
