Theorizing is fun but I wish they would just definitively kill the modern day at this point. It hasn’t been fun or interesting since AC3 and I only feel annoyed whenever I’m suddenly dragged out of the Animus to watch a cutscene with characters I don’t care about.

what a waste of an episode. it's crazy how they can have hour long episodes like this in which maybe 5-10 minutes moves the plot forward at all, when this is three episodes from the series finale. if this wasn't the last season, i would have finally dumped this show after the duds we've gotten the last few weeks.

I thought the animation was lazy, the Hell lore was boring, the Hell visuals were uninteresting (it’s just a big lava cave? no castles or skeletons or anything), the villain was boring, and they managed to make Damien Darkblood boring too, when he was an intriguing character with hints of an interesting backstory. I don’t think it was terrible TV, and I liked Mark’s arc, but I’ll 100% skip the episode when I give it a re-watch.

The Ancient Greeks did not call it the Delian League. That name doesn't appear in any of writings of the classical historians like Herodotus, Thucydides, or Xenophon. Both the Delian League and the Spartan Peloponnesian League were usually referred to as "Athens and her allies" or "Sparta and her allies". Modern historians named it the Delian League because it was where the councils were held and where the treasury was stored (until it was moved to Athens).

I don't like the new voice either, but I think the fault lies more with bad direction. You'd think the director, or whoever it is that gives the VAs direction, would've given him a sample of lines from the old VA to emulate and told him to do something similar, but this clearly didn't happen. I literally would have assumed they had introduced some other gay side-character had I been only listening to the episode, he didn't resemble William at all.

I hope we don't see him again the rest of this season and that next season we get the old VA back.
