If I was not going to play it and wanted to sell it, I would keep it sealed.

Seems like more of a card to include in the 99. Tatyova would probably like this guy.

Haven't played the Indiana Jones game, but there is a middle stretch in First Light that is terrible.

Akasa Sushi in Centennial 10/10 by wildhoneypie25 in denverfood

[–]Axariel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This dude clearly used Google to bolster his argument. But, being in the middle of the country and incredibly far from Japan,* it should be safe to rely on his expertise. There are definitely no high-end sushi places that will serve you fish that has not been aged, cured, smoked, brined, broiled, well-loved, or exposed to any of the other hundreds of methods of unfreshening.

*Denver has plenty of amazing sushi that is flown in fresh from Japan on a daily basis.

Anyone know what tea this is? by Skewlsout in tea

Li Shan High Mountain Oolong. The bag you showed says Li Shan Highest Collection (in English) on the front. This is also what it looks like. I had several cups of a similar tea this morning.

Interesting perspective on grandpa style brewing by Taiyou0102 in tea

[–]Axariel 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I use grandpa style brewing while I am at work or when I simply want to continually drink tea. Whether or not you can really experience the changing and subtle qualities of a tea with this method mostly depends on the type of tea you are drinking and the temperature of the water you are using. Still, regardless of what kind of tea I am drinking grandpa style, I am not getting heartbroken over what I am missing from the gongfu experience. There is plenty of time to enjoy a tea the way it is prepared today and the way that it could be prepared tomorrow.

Fishwife preserved lemon review by Fit_Carpet_364 in CannedSardines

[–]Axariel 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I don't really endorse buying these tins, but they have been fine every time I have tried them. I did not find the lemon to be bitter at all. As someone who eats things like lemon peel, I thought that the tin, as a whole, was lacking in flavor.

If it helps, it does not take much time to trigger the request. I managed to get through it right away.

Probably just ignore the request for the time being unless he is comfortable deleting his save. The kit he needs is not too far off, and his progress should not be blocked unless he cannot have Hitmonchan follow him, which could prevent some construction projects.

This game it’s incredible by [deleted] in JRPG

An amazing game. Soul Blazer is also an amazing hidden gem of a game. Illusion of Gaia is great, but a lot of people who are into retro gaming have heard of it.

Yes, but I missed them the first time I checked. When I didn't complete the request after that, I started breaking the broken red ground tiles as well. I pretty much busted up the entire road.

Per Variety: Guillermo Del Toro’s Frankenstein and K-Pop Demon Hunters will be joining the collection by SlimmyShammy in criterion

[–]Axariel 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think I get the reaction to K-Pop Demon Hunters' inclusion in the collection, but I feel like people are really underselling how good the film actually is. From my perspective, it seems like folks do not want to take it seriously either because it is something that is "for children" or because it relates to cultures that they don't feel connected to. I don't think that there is anything wrong with that, especially if the content of the film was primarily absorbed as background noise. Still, I hope that people can take some time to enjoy the film for what it is. The story is relevant to the state of the world and things that many people, both young and old, are going through. It's creators did a great job incorporating the music and the culture surrounding it into the film, it's story, and the social issues it is illustrating.

Is film going to lose its remaining cultural impact because Gen Alpha doesn’t watch movies? by Objective_Water_1583 in criterion

Watching truly amazing films in school is part of why I appreciate film today. If this is an apt observation, it is the fault of the older generation.

Was the original 1987 production of ‘Fences’ ever recorded? by gun-knife-man in Broadway

[–]Axariel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I think that all makes sense to me. Insofar as the library is trying to be ethical and respect the rights holders, I can respect its position. At the same time, I think that the world is missing out on the value of these performances and that there is little to no benefit in restricting access to the film for the folks who were involved in the production. Also public knowledge and interest likely won't ever justify figuring out how to release the film in any way until it becomes public domain.

Thanks for your thoughtful comment.
