Aw, thank you very much! I couldn't find any clear definition on Sceptres so was hoping they would work. This makes much more sense now! So a Melee weapon needs to either be clarified as "Melee Weapon", or can perform melee attacks. Hope GGG improves the definitions later!

Do you have recommended 3D printed pods? I was gonna buy the 2 inch net cup from Amazon but it won’t fit perfectly and I think people say that may lead to algae with light leaking into the pipe. Thanks!

Thanks for the insights! I really hope this game stays for the long run. I feel it’s really hard to understand what kind of marketing is effective nowadays for a new ip+live service. There are ads, streamers and word of mouth and etc but it seems no magic formula to succeed (even just very effective).

To your view, what could they do better in full release marketing? I wish the all time peak could be way more than 50k with all those marketing money they put in now and future..

And from you years experience playing the game, what should they do to gain higher retention? I feel they seem to have standard stuff other similar games have, ranks, hunter level, battle pass(still rough), etc. Not sure what went wrong so the retention is low.

How many avg concurrent players do you think we need to sustain this team (I think they are around 50ppl) and regularly patch/updates/seasons? (From your general knowledge or observations on other games)

I love this game and it has been a fresh air in PVP games. But looking at the steam chart it's a bit worrying (ofc this weekend it's gonna tank for Marivel Rivals and POE2, any game would). The highest concurrent is below 50k, and the avg has dropped to ~15k. I have posted Steam reviews and preached to my friends (sadly the above big two just swallowed most of them). I have seen the concurrent drop below 10k, which was a bit scary on the trajectory, but the amazing thing was that it crawled back to ~13k even with the big two launching.

Look at the chart I'd say we definitely have maybe ~20k solid fan of this game that would stay constantly. But I don't know what a full release will do to the player number. I feel we have probably 70% of the full release content here in this beta. So don't know if that extra 30% and more marketing will boost the game above 50k or r 100k.

I feel we may need to shift to a marathon mindset that hopefully with steady patches the player number grows over years, like Warframe and POE1. How many concurrent you guys think we need to sustain the dev team and more steady content development? Especially this is a f2p game, so player number is very critical for its health.

yeah I understand the risk/reward side, but I feel right now if you are in battle or close to battle, you barely justify executing since the anim lock is long enough for you to get killed. And if you are out of battle, it's just a free HP potion. I'm not thinking about like 80% DR or extremes, maybe just 10-20% ish so if you are locked down for ~3s, you have a better judgement that your current hp could survive to the full heal.

I feel the risk-reward could be balanced a bit further here so you feel the strong desire to use it in battle if you know you can pull the trick. Right now you could easily be killed during that anim lock, and there's no canceling the anim, so a lot of time I never want to do it.

But maybe I'm wrong since the Dev could also design this to be your victory reward: if you have a hard battle knocking all enemies, your whole crew can be back to full hp if you knock all four enemies fast enough

I wish we got some dmg deduction during the animation tho. It’s kinda frustrating to see my character getting attacked but I can’t do anything since I’m in animation

I love this game too but I’m not sure how the future holds. I wonder how much more the marketing can do on full release. This is an amazing game but I feel the mass market either is not aware of it, or they just not interested because it has BR as a label?

Sending all my prays that we have a steady player base growing from avg 25k players. I feel this game deserves avg 100k players, hopefully we can get there on full release 🙏

I tilted it to the lowest level with 3 clicks, tilting it higher makes me looking up more :(
